Most of you will claim that you can justify any act of GOD since we are too primitive to understand his reasons. Who told you that hsi reasons are good except him? So for example if some1 wants to commit something bad he is not going to say " hey i am going to do something bad" He will simply try to hide his intentions. We use nimals for food every day, we rase them, grow them , keep them healhty and so on till they are ready to be food.
Most of Christians claims that GOD is immutable( unchanged). Well First he destroy ppl of Babylon. Than He destroyed ppl during Great flood. The only ppl who's that act was justified were NOah and his family. If god did it once, and he is the one who decides what to do . He can do it many times ( he is immutable right?) Regardless of his promisses he is the GOD not us. Now the QUestion is. If GOD will decide to do the flood again will the current Christains justify that act concider that only 8 of those christains will stay alive?

Every1 trying to bring thier idea of love for GOD? it was nto the question.
Again and again ppl answering their own questions and not what has been asked. I did nto asked any1 for belive or disbelive. Every criminal tells you hwo good they are but you don't belive them. Just for simplicity of Argument.
The dream of the dreams for Evil will be destroy humanity and guess who did it? You can justify your own blindness to your self. GOD did what evil could only dream and than Blind ppl justifies those act . If you use a plain calculator. Just calculate how much evil Devil did and all humanity togheter and what GOD did. Than start answering the question.

You need to study the Bible, my friend! You have your facts out of order! Noah came before the tower of Babel and they were not destroyed at Babylon. They were scattered abroad because of the confounding of the language.....
God promised that He would not destroy the earth again by a flood.
If people were ever destroyed....it was most probably due to their rebellion against God! Have you read the accounts of what they were doing in Noah's day? In Babylon? In Sodom and Gomorrah? The Bible says that the same type of behavior will be going on in the last days....... If you would study the Word and go to church and get a good understanding about things that you have "no clue" about now.....then you could put some relative and intelligent questions on this site.....
God can do what ever He wants because He is Omnipotent. (having all power) That also means He has the right to do what ever He wants with you! That is why He calls you to seek Him! To Know Him! That is awesome that God wants you to know Him and love Him and not rebel against Him. He has your best interest at heart and not your destruction! Find a Loving, Bible Believing Church and a pastor that will take you under his wing to mentor you!
If you live in Denver, CO I can help you find a great church! - marsha

You really need to use your spell check. Now it is not for us to question God, He is the Great I AM. But just a little side, He is not going to destroy the world again by flood. He said so, and His word is good enough for me. Whenever He decides to deal with the earth and it's sin, I am convinced by 2nd Peter chapter 2, that there is no danger for the Christians, there are other verses too that gives us this hope, it's just that I had that one on my mind. You seem a little confused. There is a chance that people will see you as less than intelligent if you kind of "rant" and not really have the facts straight and can't spell. Try to present your argument logically, it will help people to take you more seriously. .

Look iam a very very religious christian but over time I have grown and even though iam only twenty three I have read many books and studied various histories. Everything you claim is true and I agree with it, there is nowhere in any book a statement that Jesus or god actually put pen to paper and explain in their own words what is to be and what isn't. The problem with religion as with many things is it has to be translated through the words and works of another who for all we know could have mistrewn things. There is no right or wrong answer to your question just the acknowledgement of facts and what I say is fact. I do believe in god but do I believe everything that is contained in the bible or is said by the church not even close.

When God crated the flood he was wiping out the sin. The land and everything on it and in it was cursed. He chose Noah and his family because they were the few that were not cursed and that followed him. He had to re-new the earth. Could you imagine what would be out there if he hadn't.
During the tribulation all the Christians will already be in Heaven except those who came to God after the rapture, so no I am not worried about not being destroyed when the rest of the earth is- I will already be in Heaven.

I SUGGEST YOU READ THE HOLY BIBLE,KING JAMES VERSION.HE LEFT A PROMISE TO MEN, THAT HE WILL NOT
DESTROY WITH WATER.THE RAINBOW IS THAT PROMISE
TO MEN.WE GO BY THE NEW TESTAMENT NOW.
Joh:3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh:3:17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh:3:18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh:3:19: And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Joh:3:20: For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Joh:3:21: But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

First and foremost---God is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and HOLY. I am not going to try to convince you---because it is the truth whether you believe it or not. But the other thing you are asking about will NEVER HAPPEN again because God gave His word that He would never flood the entire world again. And He put a rainbow in the sky as a promise to Noah and his kids that it wouldn't happen again. You know---some of the saddest things I have ever read in the Bible had to do with the fact that God was grieved that He had created this stiff necked group of people who just shuffled Him off to Buffalo at the first opportunity. (Well, the Bible doesn't actually mention Buffalo, but you know what I mean.) He brings them out of bondage from Egypt---the moan and groan and pitch a royal fit. He brings us out of sin using His Son's blood and we moan and groan and pitch a royal fit that we can't "do it if it feels good." The relationship was His to build and ours to cultivate. Whether we actually want to take Him up on his generous offer or not. We are a people of "free will" not a group of robotics that jump at his every command. How good it is to be LOVED enough to be "free to choose." You know he could have said "If I can't have you no one can!" A popular cry from love sick teens who kill their girlfriends and boyfriends because they think them not faithful. So, your question is without merit because we have promises, assurances and His love to keep us in His hands.

God created us, and He alone has the right to do with us what He wants to. We have a choice whether we will follow Him or not. We have been warned throughout the ages what He expects from us and if we choose not to follow Him, we will pay the price. He will never destroy the earth with water again, but at the battle of Armaggedon, which will be the very last battle ever, He will destroy this world as we know it. And I, as a christian, will be with Him when He does it. God bless you !!!

Ours is a faith based belief system so I doubt if there is an explanation that you we be happy with (that would translate to human-logic based way of thinking). I'm not sure what you mean when you say he destroyed babylon, I don't think there was a babylon before the flood. It was after the flood that that region began to be known as babel (then babylon).

God has never renigned on a promise. Never.
The acts, to which you refer, included warnings ahead of time that the people should straighten up their acts according to His way. He promised the world would never be destroyed by flood again. He did promise if it becomes necessary to destroy the world (it will He said) it will be done by fire.
Those who believe on His Son are guaranteed an eternal life, but not the one which we have now.

As you say God can do as he wishes. but he made a promis to Noah he would never flood the world like that again and the rainbow is the sign of his covenant with Noah.
even if for some reasen the world was flooded agin their is no reason why it would be the same as in noah's day. but if you know Christ you have nothing to fear you are promist a place in heaven
