At this point in time, we have too many problems dealing with our citizens, legal immigrants and illegals to allow more in at this point. We should close the borders down for a time to get a handle on the situation, create a new program for immigration-because the one we have sure isn't working right-and then reopen to allow new people to be brought in.

The problem is that our services like universal education are very expensive and we pay the vast bulk of the costs of those services for poor people even when they pay all taxes. That is why we limit poor immigrants to begin with. The locality pays for the school for their own people and does not want to stretch those facilities and dollars to pay for people who are here illegally.

If it were not so expensive, countries like Mexico might pay for universal education for its own people. It does not become our responsibility to pay for it for them just because their own government won't, however.

With legal immigration you can to an extent target things, like where you want people to go, how long they can stay and whether they can bring children. But illegal immigration is, tautologically, unregulated.

It is a mathematical FACT that every single person on the planet will fit in the county (or city, i forgot which) of los angeles!
and everyone on earth could live in country of brazil and the rest of the planet could be for supporting it food wise, actually the land mass of the usa could support it all
just the facts!

I'm from Oklahoma. It is NOT empty. It is filled with farms and ranches to put food on your table. The more people, the less food.
