Ive had lots of girlfriends but theyve never lasted, maybe because we had sex too soon. What are your thoughts on waiting to have sex?

Even if you test the car before u make the purchase, theres no guarantee that it will operate the same even after you bought it u have to go by someones WORD.

I think its catch 22. Seems like if you don't put out then you get dumped. But then if you do sleep with them then after a few sex sessions they are on to finding someone else. At least don't do it on the first date and tell them you would rather wait. You will get dumped more, but will weed out the users and losers. I think its human nature that after you've gotten them in bed what more is there to look forward to or work towards? So if you flat out tell them wait till marriage then both of you are forced to work at an actual relationship (vesus just sex). You have to have meaningful conversations and find common interests to explore which is hard for most people. Going to bed is easy. And it makes you look easy. Those that look easy aren't as desirable as a potential marriage partner.

I think it's a dumb idea. Sexual incompatibility is a sure-fire way to ruin a relationship. Why on earth would you want to wait until after you get married to find out whether you're sexually compatible or not?

i didn't do it and if i could go back in time i still don't think i'd do it. i was lucky though...the 1st person i had sex with at 16 years old stuck with me and we are happily married. been together a total of 12 years, married for 6.
