It's not hearsay, it's hallucination.

Well, there's the records of ancient followers of God, back in the days when miracles and prophets were still necessary; then there's the records and teachings of those who came after Christ, who could find God's message by gaining better undersandings of His nature, though His creations. Sometimes it would seem that God speaks to people through dreams, but that kind of thing shouldn't be a basis for some sort of groundbreaking new theology; dreams can be convincing, and still not true. Most of all, we see God's word by seeing His nature in the world around us.

Everything in the Bible is all hearsay...no eyewitness accounts at all so if anyone else has some new information direct from God that would be interesting.
Several people here are claiming he speaks to them but neglecting to impart what his words to them were...I think that might be the interesting part that you are leaving out.

I am not a member of any church or religion. But there is some kind of comunication from a strong force that can work in You if You give it the chance to do so. You have to be relaxed, not being afraid and not drowned in egoism. Then it happens, and You don´t interfere, You just listen! Basicly everything You receive is about: "We are all the same!" Something within society people are trying to opose in every way.

I have heard Him many times. Never the audible voice, but no doubt it was God. Just one quick example. About ten years ago I was driving down the road. There was a fairly large cardboard box in the middle of the road. Now I like a little sport and I admit I have lead in my shoes, so I thought," Gonna bust that box wide open." I distinctly heard a voice say ,"NO!" so I served to miss it. I looked in my rear view mirror and watched a toddler crawl out of the box. I locked my car up and pulled over. Walked him into the fenced yard he came from, locked the gate. I was trembling. Couldn't thank God enough.

I had a very bad earache and fever as a child. I heard voices that night, which for a long time I understood to be a religious visitation. Later I learned that these were just aural hallucinations caused by the sickness.

"God" is spirit, has no body, or gender, no mouth or throat, and as such, cannot "speak" as we define the word. Ever get a hunch about someone or something? THAT is one example of "God" speaking. We are all co-creators with the Ultimate Creative Energy. This divine energy creates on a spiritual level, always. It is up to each one of us to create on this physical level. We create our own realities without even knowing, with every breathe we take.

I have never actually heard His voice in the present or verbal sense. However, I know he exsist though.. There are a couple of things that I have asked and prayed for ... things only HE could provide for me. He did, He has... and will continue as long as I stay faithful and bear witness there is NO God but Thee!

God speaks to people in different ways...YES...he has spoken to me in a visionary dream...and answered my prayers...the reason I state visionary dream...is because it was a vision that I recieved in a dream...about the prayer I prayed before I laid down to go to sleep...
For someone that has a question such as yours...go to the Bible and turn to... " Numbers: Chapter 12: Verse 4-6..."
and it states: "Hear my words: if there be a prophet among you, I the lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and speak unto him in a dream."
Now I stand here before you to testify...that what God said in that Book, Chapter and Verse is the truth...as God as my witness...!

In order for a person to hear God they have to be in a true relationship with Him. Wordly people are not going to be able to hear God because they are to worried about themselves to pay attention to the still small voice. It is hard to understand if you are not a believer. Jesus loves you.

He speaks to your heart. You just have to be still and listen. I hear Him everyday. But He speaks not so much in words but in feelings and it is very difficult to describe. I remember how easily it was to speak to Him when I was a child. I find that He is always there and listening when I choose to speak to Him. He always answers.
