Because we don't like what our government does--just like Mexico doesn't like theirs.

And while we are at it, bury our heads in the sand and hope mommy will take care of us. The reason we have a problem is because the government has NOT taken care of it. Wake up

We don't trust the government on this. I for one have no clue where their heads have been on this issue for the last 20 years.

In a democracy, you're part of the government.
Even in the kind of government which we have, you still have a say in governing by electing representatives, and writing letters to them.
So, figure out what you want, and make your voice heard.

Let the government handle all this? Last I checked we were a free country, and our citizens are free to do as they please. You are talking about communism, which has never worked in any country anywhere! I like my freedom.

That's right! The gov't has done a bang-up job already cleaning up the situation. Maybe if we're trully lucky, we won't have to do anything in our lives, as social workers feed us through a tube. Hooray for laziness. More power to you, that's if you feel the need to do anything about it.
