how much would you pay for a 1996 dodge ram 1500 V6 with 114,000 miles, automatic transmission, a/c, tow package, am/fm cassette radio, and alloy wheels. Also how long is the bed if its a short bed? And how long do these trucks last and how reliable are they?

The selling price of this car can be found by going to www.kbb.com The Kelly blue Book will give you most of the details you are asking. The short bed on the regular cab is 6 feet and on the extended cab five feet.
These trucks are like any other vehicle. If it was properly maintained and driven sanely they will often go past 200k without any major failure. The Diesel engines seem to last the longest and all Dodge trucks thrive on regular fluid exchanges. However you have to realize at 114 k anything could happen.

I bought a brand new dodge ram in 2001 off the showroom floor with an extended warranty. I had problems with it from almost day one, if it wasn't one problem, it was another. The auto transmissions suck on these truck, my transmission went out, my rear end went out, my fuel injection system went out, not to mention the interior quality sucks too, had huge cracks form on my dash, went to the dealer and they said i must have used armor all on the dash and thats what caused it to crack (HUH, armor all caused the dash to crack?, give me a break). My rear end went out at 60k, right when my extended warranty expired, dealership would not cover any of the expense...and i never even towed anything with this truck, didn't even have a tow hitch on it. Stay away from dodge trucks...they are junk!!!
