Answer to this question.
If the total gross vehicle weight is less than 26,0001 lb (empty) then you do not need a CDL. If the the weight is more then you need a CDL for the class of vehicle that you want to drive. Tractor Trailer in the Commonwealth of Va requires a class A. Straight truck with air brakes or dump truck with air brakes requires a class B. A passenger bus that hold more than 15 people requires a class B with a class P endorcement. If the Tractor Trailer that you are driving is halling a hazmat then you need that endorcement. If it hauling a liquid (gas, oil, milk, etc, etc) then you need a tanker endorcement. If you ride a motorcycle you need that endorcement. Hope this helps.

26,001 GVW is the min for a cdl anything under that and you dont need 1 GVW= Gross Vehicle Weight the total weight that your vehicle can carry or that it is rated to carry
and 26,001 is not the empty weight cause if that is what is meant then you can drive a damn tandem axle dumptruck with out a cdl until it is loaded but that isn't true you need a cdl weather the truck is loaded or not if its GVW is 26,001 and over
so in short 26,001 GVW is the min. weight wise to require a CDL

There is no weight limit or requirement.Anyone of any size can drive an 18 wheeler.(that is if you can reach the pedals and the steering wheel at the same time). There are however certain health conditions that can disquallify a person.I.E chronic heart disease, epilepsy ,etc.

Minimum weight??? You mean of the driver?
If so, none. As long as you can handle the rig or the bus (Class A or B) physically.

I would think that you should have to be at least 80lbs. Anything under that you are either 12 or have some sort of eating disorder.

It depends on what "class" you're looking at. They all have different requirements; and then there's the endorsements, which you have to test and pay for...
