If you look at the ad, the company selling it is SOLD OUT. They say "call for upgrade". Translation: bait and switch...to sell you something pricier.

As to the camera itself, there are better buys in that price range. I'd go to some of the online camera retailers/mail order dealers...places like Ritz Camera, or one of the other big camera retailers. Make sure that they have at least a minimal warranty, particularly on a refurbished item. It could go bad the day you get it or it could last 50 years, depending on what was wrong and how well it was fixed.

Hope this helped.

looks like about 4 pictures at best resolution. Should be an O.K. starter camera, IMHO, would suggest investing in an SD memory card and a reader to facilitate, holding more pictures and transferring them either to computer for touch up and/or printing

I would opt for a different one. You can find ones with more features brand new for that price or less. Try somewhere like Ritzcamera.com and compare what cameras fit your photographic needs. I would recommend a Nikon or Canon.

Its a good camera, but then again its a refurb. To me a refurb is like buying a used car, your just buying someone elses problems.
