Welcome to , the web site of the Creation Evidence Museum in Glen Rose, Texas.

As you browse our pages you will receive educational information presenting scientific evidence for creation and design by a personal Creator. This scientifically chartered museum was established in July of 1984 for the purpose of research, excavation, and display of scientific evidence for creation. The Museum's team, led by its Founder and Director, Carl Baugh, Ph.D., has excavated eleven dinosaurs (Acrocanthosaurus, Stegosaurus, Allosaurus, etc.), 475 dinosaur tracks, 86 human footprints, 7 cat prints, and other fossil remains - all in Cretaceous limestone. Excavations were professionally documented along the Paluxy River and various other international locations.

Among museums this entity makes a unique contribution, demonstrating that man and dinosaur lived contemporaneously.Q: Are dinosaurs found in the Bible?

A: Yes

For a biblical study on dinosaurs in the Old Testament, I would definitely recommend using the Authorized Version (AV)/King James Version (KJV) of the Scriptures which were translated into English from the Masoretic text in 1611 [230 years before the word "dinosaur" was available!]. Using a Strong's Concordance, you will find the Hebrew word "tannin" is used 25 times, and is translated as 'dragon(s),''serpent(s),' 'monster(s)' [and, in the more modern versions, improperly as 'jackal(s)']. The key to remember is to look for Hebrew Lexicon #8577.

CREATION WEEK (~4000 B.C.)

DAY 5--[Gen.1:20-21]--Creation of marine monsters (Hebrew "tannin," includes large marine 'mammals' and 'reptiles') and winged/flying creatures (Hebrew "o(w)ph," includes all feathered and non-feathered flyers--even pterosaurs, the flying reptiles!)

DAY 6--[Gen.1:24-25]--Making of dinosaurs and other land creatures, divided among the cattle (Hebrew "behemah," includes all quadrupedal, hoofed/blunt-toed ungulates), beasts of the earth (bipedal/quadrupedal, talon-toed), and creeping things (quadrupedal/multi-legged ground crawlers).

FLOOD YEAR (~2350 B.C.)

[Gen.6:17,19-20; 7:14-15; 9:17,19]--Juvenile representatives of every terrestrial, air-breathing kind (not species), including dinosaurs and pterosaurs, were directed by God to the Ark.

Those outside the Ark would be left to be scavenged by marine predators or be buried and fossilized quickly.

POST-FLOOD PERIOD

MARINE MONSTERS--[Leviathan (Job 3:8-'mourning'; 41:1-34/Ps.74:14;104:26/ Isa.27:1); see also Lam.4:3 & Amos 9:3].

PTEROSAURS--[esp. the bioluminescent flying reptiles (Isa.14:29 & 30:6)].

DINOSAURS--[see Strong's Concordance(KJV) under "dragon(s);" also Exod. 7:9-10 (#8577, not #5175)].

The best dinosaur passage in the Bible is Job 40:15-24 where God speaks to Job concerning BEHEMOTH ["most excellent beasts"--intensive plural of

Day 6 'cattle' ("behemah")], a huge sauropod dinosaur (especially notice verses 17 &19 !!!). Don't forget to ckeck our website for dinosaur publications under "Resources" and...happy dinosaur hunting!

God created the dinosaurs and Adam and Eve on the same day. He created all of the land animals and humans on the sixth day according to the Bible. There is extensive scientific proof that dinosaurs were alive at the same time as humans. There is even proof of dinosaurs being alive after the flood. There is also proof of many kinds that supports the creation theory, and that says the evolution theory is impossible, but somehow that proof never gets out to the general public. Check out the websites below for some of that proof...

The Bible account in the first chapter of Genesis states the general order of creation. It allows for possibly thousands of millions of years for the formation of the earth and many millenniums in six creative eras, or “days,” to prepare the earth for human habitation.

Some dinosaurs (and pterosaurs) may indeed have been created in the fifth era listed in Genesis, when the Bible says that God made “flying creatures” and “great sea monsters.” Perhaps other types of dinosaurs were created in the sixth epoch. The vast array of dinosaurs with their huge appetites would have been appropriate considering the abundant vegetation that evidently existed in their time.—Genesis 1:20-24.

When the dinosaurs had fulfilled their purpose, God ended their life. But the Bible is silent on how he did that or when. We can be sure that dinosaurs were created by God for a purpose, even if we do not fully understand that purpose at this time. They were no mistake, no product of evolution.

I always thought that maybe the dinosaurs wern't created but after the huge asteriod hit and killed them all the Earth was just a baron waste land and God decided to create life on it to make it look better, Or with people views of evolution. maybe God changed the way a gorilla was and made it human. No one really has any proof about what happened millions of years ago because we (individually) wern't there. people just have to go with what they belive in, you can't tell people they are wrong everyone has a free will to believe what the wish to.

He didn't. The fact that there were dinosaurs at all certainly discredits the idea that god created everything in the way the bible says.
The bible should not be taken literally like that. This is the same reason 51% of Americans don't believe in human evolution. It's ridiculous and embarrassing.

If we are to take thge bible literally as we are told:-

1. Dinosaurs did NOT exist as they are not recorded in the bible.

2. Eating Pork and shellfish is a mortal Sin.

3. We are All doomed as Revelation says only Jews will be saved and thats not much use to the jews as they dont use the new testament relying on the ttorah or old testament..

If however we are to interpret th bible according to the time it was written it is simply a guide book on how to live, plant crops and make babies and how to behave to each other, ther is not actual concept of orginal sin or the belive that 'if its not in its wrong'

How many Evangelical People I have offended by this probably equals the number who have offended me by their adherance to dogma!

Don't take the Bible as a literal translation. Dinosaurs evolved 230 million years ago and went extinct 65 mya long before humans evolved. Human skeletons and dino fossils have never been found in the same geological sequence.

No, nature created the dinosaurs; the god you're referring to wasn't invented until about 2000 years ago.
