I don't just mean any old atheist because you've got those mad-at-god atheists and those never-thought-about-it atheists who make us all look bad.

Pantheism...

Humanism...

I would also include Taoism, though some might disagree.

"mad-at-god" atheists? That's an oxymoron. Atheism means, litterally, without religion. Atheists believe that there is no god, not that there might be, not that they're mad at god. Just that there is none.

Agnostics, on the other hand, just don't know. There could be. We can't prove it or disprove it, really.

There is no such thing as a 'mad-at-god' atheist; how can someone be mad at something that they do not believe in? A 'mad-at-religion' atheist... I guess I could go along with that.

Anyway... you ought to do your own danged research. It is easier to type 'atheist' into the 'Search' box at Wikipedia or answers.com than it is to type in such a question and comments in this forum.

I'm not aware of atheist factions, that would make us like religion. An Atheist is an Atheist, is an Atheist.

I don't believe the government (or any authority) exists.
I also like the letter A.

There are distinctions between "weak" and "strong" atheism, among others, some of which are well-covered in the website wikipedia.com.
