Skipping meals is never a good way to lose weight. It's very unhealthy and messes up the way your body functions. Instead, eat smaller portions 5 times a day. That way instead of gorging, you're giving your body time to digest before eating again. Also, cut down on the sugar and fatty foods. Drink plenty of water. Do exercises like running, pilates, push up, sit ups, ect. This may not give you faster results, but you're body will thank you.

Yes, skipping is good in that it is aerobic and weight bearing. The impact will increase your bone mass. Jumping rope is another good one. Any amount per day will burn more calories than not doing it at all, I would start at an amount your comfortable with and increase from there. I would also start finding some exercises you like too, because just skipping will probably get boring and you'll be less likely to continue

Your question is confusing at first. Skipping rope is a good exercise. I would say do timed intervals as opposed to number of skips, like do 20 minutes instead of 100 skips. I wouldn't think that you would do any damage to your knees or joints if you skip and not jump.
Did you mean just regular skipping while you walk? Give me a break.

Skipping might work if you do it for like 20 minutes (equal to about 20 min run on the tredmill). I'd try it for as fast as you can go, since its an jogging type of motion(kind of).
If you're really trying to lose weight I'd at least skip for an hour, and try to get your knees to go as high as they could go for an intenser workout.
Any type of movement is better than no movement at all!

I am sure it is a good excersice but make sure you change leading foot as one leg will get bigger than the other. Now running is good I know from expierance that for every mile you run you loose one pound. So if you eat right, drink water and run like your being chased you will loose a lot of weight fast.

Depends on your weight. If you're classified as obese, then prolonged skipping will damage your knees, as will jogging and running.
