I can't believe some of the answers on here. I've been in the Air Force for 6 years, and I haven't regretted 1 minute of it. We have a lot of opportunities, that range from different jobs and great training, to free flights. Of all the branches, the Air Force has the highest standard of living, so housing, dorms (not barracks), and the Dining Facilities (more commonly known as chow halls) are all top notch. They're always improving them too. If you dedicate yourself, work hard, and do what your supposed to, you get treated really well. If your a lazy slacker, well, they'll find a way to kick you out. Hard work pays off in the Air Force. And yes, contrary to popular belief, we do work hard.

well i'm an Air Force wife so i know quite a bit, my husband is been in for over 3 years now and loves it, (and he's not the gun hoe type either) they have been really good to us, when he first got stationed they let him switch to somewhere else, most of the military branches won't let you do that, the Air Force is known for being best for people who are married or have families because they have really good housing and help you make arrangements, The Air Force basically treats you the best out of all the military branches especially if your a woman or a minority ( i don't know why i think thats not fair but oh well) if i was a guy i would , definately join, but i think i'm to girly, hope this helped :)
and please don't listen to playtofast, he's obviously a very ignorant treehugger who won't ever do anything thats meaningful or noble in life and won't be remembered for anything but complaining, unfortunately for us the world is not peaceful, but thankfully we have people who are willing to protect us
