Do not make a high goal, first of all. It's a health risk to lose more than 3 pounds a week. Besides, that much in a week would probably be water weight, which comes right back.
Take a walk for 20-50 minutes a day, or take two 10-25 minutes walks a day (Bringing a good friend on walks will make them much easier, and talking burn cals!). Just keep at it and you'll keep losing.
Remember to EAT YOUR BREAKFAST. Eating Breakfast will reduce your hunger and increase your energy throughout the day. You should have a large breakfast, smaller lunch, and light dinner. Or you can have multiple small meals throughout the day. Avoid snacking at night, and when you really want junk food, eat a half serving and substitute the other half with a fruit or veggie. Make sure you drink water too, it's helpful in losing weight faster. Be sure to lay off soda...it's high in cals.
That's how I lost 60 pounds, myself. I went from being 5"3 and 192 pounds to 5"6 and 131 pounds in 6 months (I'm 13, and therefore still growing). It has been really easy to mantain my weight now, too.
Remember, you don't need to do all of these things. Even a few of my suggestions will help.
Best of luck!

I needed to do samething!
I lost weight without excercising by only drinking DIET COKES! Do not ever go back to regular cokes!
Then I just ate to Healthy Choices meals a day and that was it. However, I still would go out on the weekends and eat at a restaurant once a week, and once a month I might have the desert.
Just remeber from this day forward you will always be hungary!
And if you are hungary do not eat until your stomach is just can't-at-all take out and then only eat 1 healthy choice dinner preferably under 300 calories.
NEVER SPLURGE on food if you are really hungary eat a healthy choice ... IF YOU ARE SEMI-HUNGARY drink a diet coke. Your body often confuses hunger for thirst.
I lost 30lbs in 6 mos. like this ... I did not do a single workout!
While it much better to workout an diet... dieting alone is what really takes of the wait.
OH AND REMEMBER YOU WILL HAVE TO BE ON A DIET FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!!
If you have a wait problem you will only control by always dieting and enforcing stricter dieting rules when your wait goes up!
Take Care,

Exercise can be lots of things, just as long as it gets your heart rate up a little. If you want to burn fat, you need to exercise aerobically, this means with oxygen. If you are exercising and not able to talk the same time, you need to slow down. The best exercise is the one that you will do. Find something you like - maybe a bike ride or walk, swim, water aerobics, roller blading. Exercise doesn't have to be a boring routine, try to find someone to exercise with, helps to pass time and makes it more likely you will be motivated to do it. This is a tricky thing for me too, often I feel like I have to force myself, but once I get into a habit I really enjoy it and feel better. Start out slow so you don't burn yourself out and increase a little each time. Also, you can start being a "functional exerciser" this is changing your normal routine by parking at the back of the parking lot, take stairs instead of elevator, walk to the store/work etc instead if possible.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

I've been doing something the last month or so that has helped me lose some weight, and I didn't realize it until I was at the doctors today. What I do is, when it comes time to eat, I eat a little slower than usual, and I don't get full. I eat just enough to satisfy myself. I do eat more 'times' during the day, but I don't eat enough to make my stomach stick out, and that seems to help, somehow.

From personal experience, the Sonoma diet is one of the easiest there are, gives you a lot of choices and you don't feel deprived. Try doing some research about it.
You need to exercise when you are losing weight, cause if you don't you'll end up all flabby (it happened to me) and will have to workout harder to go back to normal.

simple...try this...........
get a set of hand weights, a yoga ball and a few strechy bands.... it's cheap and they work!!!!
start doing simple exercises while watching t.v...when a commerical comes on...pick up those weights and go a few reps..... the ball is great for streching and easy sit ups.... the strech bands are good for lower body as well as upper. and try this at commericals no equipment needed..... stand jusdt in front of the couch and put your arms out in front of you now squat down until your butt touches the couch and go back up.... do about 100 of those a day and in a week you'll notice a difference.... the theory behind these types of exercises are if you build a little muscle, your body will burn fat at a faster rate, also try drinking 2 8 oz. cups of hot green tea with honey in them morning and night.... doing the above I lost 40 lbs....

Eat campbell's soup for the meals that aren't supposed to be cereal. The (diet conscious only, maybe) cans are about 250 calories (the cream of mushroom is exactly 250) total.
Walk instead of driving whenever possible.
Take the stairs.
Find a friend who'll work out with you/egg you on.

I've found that if you hate to exercise, you won't do it without serious commitment. I reccomend that you find an enjoyable physical activity and do that instead. In my case, I got a job at a local car wash that has me moving for about nine hours a day, three days a week.; that's helped quite a bit. And rather than paying for it, they're paying you!
