The legal age to buy and drink in Canada is 19...
I know that 'cause it's probably the first thing you see when you stand at the counter of the corner store. "Must be legal age:19" And since I'm not interested to at any near point. It's the same age for playing lotteries.
Once in a while my sister likes to play 'scratch and win' lotteries. She lets me play too. And there was this lucky moment I had that I kept winning. And kept getting lucky. So I told the lady behind the counter (she became my friend) that I'm gonna win some day. Which apparently is after 3 years, since I'm 16 currently. When I'm feeling lucky that is :)

Isn't it 18 in some places and 19 in others? I don't think it is nationally set like in the US.
The best way to find out is to go to a bar and ask!
