life has taught me many lessons. one of them is: when a guy says he likes you; but, does not want a relationship w/ you specifically or in general. he's not b/f material.
your guy's constant staring and compliments mean one thing and one thing only: he wants you sexually... or he wants to be a friend w/ benefits... nothing less, nothing more.
if you want a g/f - b/f honest-to-god relationship with this guy, don't let his mixed signals get you thinking there's even a chance because he's already told you - he doesn't want a relationship.

ok, i have been in a similar situation, from his side ofcourse.
i dont think he really likes you, you said yourself that he doesnt want a relationship with you, and i think that should be enough for you to go on with your life. you should stop wasting your time with him (2 years-wooow), and there is plenty fish in the sea. but this is just my opinion, you should know what to do. good luck

He just wants to full around w/ you w/out the commitment... If you want to go for it, do it, just remember it won't go further than that.
