I have to agree with the rest of the answers here. If you let them all free, then they will all be strays, therefore not eliminating the stray population, but increasing it exponentially. Most pets released into the wild couldn't possibly survive on their own, and being uncontrolled would be a far worse problem than having them as pets.
You need to think about this a little more it looks like.

No...they should not be banned as house pets. My dog is like part of the family and I would hate to think he would be took to
the woods to go wild. Have you ever seen what a pack of wild dogs can do to animals such as cows or sheep? Would you feel comfortable going out in the woods knowing that a pack of wild dogs were following you from a distance? Dogs are domesticated animals and should be left that way. I understand that you are frustrated by the stuff left on the sidewalks and grass, but that is a problem with the owner of the pet. If the animal is homeless, you may try to find it a home or call your local pet shelter.

Animals are animals.
Their owners should be smart enough to act like mature responsible pet owners, and pick up after their pets, and spay or neuter their pets.
No, dogs and cats should not be banned as house pets.
Do you have any idea how much it would cost to enforce that as a law?
What kind of burden would that put on the "forrest"?
If anything, owners should have to take a test, and be licensed in order to have the privelege of owning a pet.

No, it's a terrible idea to let dogs and cats loose into the forest. Their domesticated, they wouldn't last very long on their own because they depend on human influences. And how would letting them free into the forest get rid of the stray cat and dog problem? They would breed uncontroled then and being cats and dogs they would go in search of human populated areas for food. If we were to let domesticated pets loose into the forest, it would be like letting human children loose into the forest.

NO WAY! That would NOT eliminate the stray animals...it would only INCREASE the population.....therefore there would be more animals in shelters because people (like me and many others) would feel sorry for them and take them there if not just take them into their homes. If you want to decrease the population, you should be a part of the solution.....not a part of the problem. It's because of people like you that there ARE so many animals running ferel and reproducing hundreds of offspring a year....it's because of people like you that you see animals lying dead in the streets or on the sides of the highways. Accidents happen to animals, I know, but to deliberately "set them free" wouldn't only be unfair to the human population (because of overcrowding of animals), but to the animal and to the environment. Why do you think there is such thing as a "deer season"???? It is so us humans aren't overrun by the animals. So...once again, DON'T BE PART OF THE PROBLEM....BE PART OF THE SOLUTION!

No, I dont believe that cats and dogs should be banned as house pets. I think that instead of grabbin g a free puppy at your local wal mart cause they are cute and cuddly, people should take more care and responsibility for them. I think that any animal bought should be spayed/neutered (that gets rid of the whole stray animal problem) and if you breed high quality AKC/CKC and other registered dogs/cats you should take extreme care as to who gets them, although most people who let their dogs/cats loose and the ones who dont train them are irresponsible animal owners who dont pay 500$ for any kind of animal. Just stress to your friends and family to spay/neuter all their animals so that there will be no more unwatned puppies/kittens that end up at local animal shelters, euthanized, or as strays.

No, if they are pets it is the owners responsibility to keep them in a fenced in yard. If you think about it a little bit more, if these dogs and cats were set free, the'd be running across the street, possibly being hit, some dogs are viscous and might even bite people. It would be a major problem.

What? Are you serious? Stray cats and dogs are mostly animals that have been abandoned, so help them out and adopt it. People just need to learn how to clean up after their dog goes, that's all. Definitely not eliminated.

I examine the question and idea "Banning from promoting domestic dogs? how ought to they do one of those difficulty" yet after studying something else of it i'd agree, i'd favor to purchase from a breeder who supplies you you with the nice details of raising whichever animal that's. i do no longer prefer to imagine canines or cats being penned up until eventually they're offered, in the experience that they are offered. also the puppy keep on my highstreet is notably pleased with in simple terms fish and smaller animals alongside with a range of of diverse toys and nutrients. i actually trust anybody else, it ought to cut decrease back puppy farming (i do not recognize in the experience that they have got kitten farming) and breeders should be extra trustworthy i imagine that's a exceptional theory it is going to stamp out the barbaric puppy farms with slightly of success and the puppy shops will do nice seem at each and every of the products they promote * 21 minutes in the past
