You have to make a choice between the two! And then work on your relationship and make it happy! You need to figure out your feelings once and for all! If you were with your ex for a long time and you have lots of memories you share then it will be very difficult to let him go, but there's reason why you two broke up... right? You just need to sit down and think about it! WHAT do YOU really want??? Just remember, Don't ruin a good relationship for something that's not worth it! Trust me, I've been there! Good Luck!!

Im friends with all of my x's cause I realize that there was something about each of them on a person to person level that I liked about them. Not just as lovers. So I stay friends with them, BUT... I also realize that there was a VERY SPECIFIC reason why each relationship ended. Id rather have all of my X's as JUST FRIENDS than ever date them again. If they guy you are with is a great guy, see where it goes. If in the end, things do not work out, move on. But Dont let a possibly GREAT thing go for an X. Move forward, Not back ward. Good luck.

Nothing in love comes with guarantees or written direction. However, you must have had a reason for leaving your ex! YOu admit that your bf is great to you. Why would you want to risk this for somone you have past through already?
Also being in contact can have you remembering what it was like. You don't have to completely avoid the person but if you are feeling this way the best is probably to put distance between you and your ex.
Concentrate on your present and your future forget the past!!!

Remember that you broke up for a reason. I'm still friends with my ex, but I'd never take him back even though I loved him very much. That ship has sailed and I've found a man who loves me for the adorable wacko that I am. Focus on making yourself happy for you and enjoying your time with the new guy. And if you find you're still thinking about the ex, the best thing you can do is take some time alone for yourself and be single. You might not have allowed yourself enough time on your own. Good luck.

I think the most immediate answer is to not rush into anything more than it is right now. You found someone very compatible, but you also long for the past. Not a good time to make any personal commitments such as marriage, until your love for the present becomes (recognizably) stronger than the guy from the past. Doesn't mean the past has to be ignored or abandoned, but he cannot be allowed back in to intimacy if you finally make a commitment to your present beau.

Follow your heart. The heart never lies. If deep inside you feel that you and your ex should be together then go for it because you only live once. Take my advice you don't want to regret this years from now. Communicate with you ex and see where he is and if both of you are on the same page, then be together. Good Luck!

So you want to travel backward in time? Are you afraid to step outside your comfort zone and prefer to sleep with the devil you know rather than the one you don't?
Walk away from the ex. If you were that concerned, you would have put that extra energy into him when you had him. Move on, no matter who he is or isn't interested in. Move on, don't travel backward. The second time is never as good as the first time.

How can you get someone off your mind if you still see him. Do you really want to get your ex off your mind, or isn't you like killing yourself with emotions?
