Made you look. Guess what, there are seven other abominations listed in the Bible. Proverbs 6:
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. (KJV)
So, with all the Christians so condeming of homosexuality, why arent they also as much against, lying, and pride and all the others. And arent many of the ones who are so against it also not guilty of one or more of the other abominations?

Jesus loves you for your openess. According to the bible, Jesus would hang out with people that we would consider to be the scum of the earth. He would not condemn, he would not criticize. What he did is show love, understanding and tolerance. These vitrues are completely lost with the so called people of god today. I believe Jesus relates to the scum of the earth types more readily because they are people that are real and genuine.

Nobody, - as of yet, is contesting the 'wrongness' of proud look, a lying tongue, etc., etc.
But when folks come out of the wood work to make false claims about homosexual acts and those that practice it, AND do a back hand slap to the teachings of the Bible, -then that kind of monopolizes the conversation at the dinner table if you ask me.
But I agree, -they're all grevious and an abomination.

News flash, we are just as condemning of the other abominations; the reason you hear about it less is because it doesn't get the same media coverage. Nobody cares that we say murdering and lying are bad, nobody has issues with that! As of yet, proponents of the new age morality haven't tried to convince people that lying, murdering, false witness, etc. aren't sins; when they do, (and they will, they'll justify it by some means) Christians will be targeted for defending that.

Some 'christians' pick and choose which parts of their teachings they will apply to their belief system and their daily lives. They also tend to forget the "judge not" section...
My hope is that at some point, they get a wake-up call [maybe even from God?] and realize their bigoted, discriminatory practices promote hatred and violence, and are completely contrary to what someone who works for love, justice and equality would stand for. WWJD?

Great post!
I don't see homosexuality mentioned in your list though?
Wouldn't it be nice if Christians would act like Christ?

Nicely put. There are bigger things we need to worry about than who people fall in-love with. Isn't all love welcomed?
