Muslims don't hate Americans. I'm assuming you're asking about the fanatical Muslims (like the ones who attacked us on 9/11).

I could go into specific reasons for why this is, but I think I'll just make a more general statement.

Fundamentalism in any religion is dangerous (yes, even christian fundamentalists). You should never take the bible, the quran, the torah, or what have you, literally. This always leads to trouble.
Fundamentalist Muslims see our commerical, capitalist, liberal culture as evil. They lack any understanding or respect for our basic principles of liberty partially because they live their lives according to what one book says. If certain passages in the book say that our culture type is evil, they think it's evil. If certain passages say that by killing us "infidels," a Muslim will get a bunch of virgins in heaven, they believe that.

There's not really much we can do to change that besides spreading democracy and ideas of freedom to the people in the countries of the middle east and encouraging a more liberal society there. It's foolish to say that Muslims can't coexist in this world with the "infidels." Just look at all the American Muslims who absolutely love our country and everything we stand for. It's just the fundamentalism that's dangerous and leads to people like Osama Bin Laden.

for those who said that the holy Koran encourages violent attacks against other human beings i say that is so far from the truth.
on the contrary, it tells us "Muslims" to be kind to each other and all other people from different religions.
for example, our prophet mohammed 'peace be upon him' had Jewish and christian neighbors and he used to help them , and visit them when they where ill.

also, the Koran tells us that if any Muslim man killed another non-Muslim man who had peace or truce with that he will go straight to hell.

we moderate Muslims believe that terrorists are non-Muslims because they broke the law of Islam by killing other people either Muslims or non-Muslims.
not all Muslims hate America, and not all Americans hate Muslims. but, before we jump into judging other people we should learn more about them.
by the way , I'm a Saudi Muslim, and i love America and American people and i respect all religions and cultures.

Muslims don't hate Americans , bin laden hates Americans and hes trying to reunite the Arab states that have been colonialised and been subjected to foreign rule for at least a few hundred years, if he reunites the states he thinks it will bring about a golden age for Muslims. He should really hate the french and British because it was them that divided the Arab states. Hes bitter and full of hate nothing good will come to him.

That is a generalization. I am sure there are radical Muslim groups that hate Americans just as there are radical Christian groups in America that hate Muslims, but most Muslims that are really trying to follow God as they understand Him do not hate.

The ones that do is probably for two reasons. 1) The support for Israel without any concern for the Palestinians. 2) America is considered Christian and there is a resentment toward Christians dating back to the Crusades.

Muslims don't hate anybody, but hate actions. Americans are supporting the barbarian Israelis for long time even against the international laws. Is Israel more important to US presidents than the American people and interests? More over America is waging a massive relentless war against Islam (calling it against terrorism and labeling Muslims as terrorists), and supporting dictators who oppress their people like Mubarak and Musharraf.

That's only the extremist Muslims in the Middle East. Did you know many Muslims are American? I know one, and he's probably the nicest person I've ever met, and many people agree. All Muslims certainly are not murderers and full of hatred.
