first of all "stupid.liberals" and 'julie" shut the hel! up you ignorant prick!! try putting yourself in their shoes, im sure you would love to be in a country that is really poor, what would you do if you had the chance to go to a country and start all over, provide food and a home for your family! so they broke the law, i can understand that, but its people like you( still talking about 'stupid.liberals' and 'julie') who are ignorant don't understand that!! think about that.

and for the question above, yes.. .we should help them. "LEGALIZE, DON'T CRIMINALIZE!!"

Any person of any nationality that comes to America and plans to call our country home for a determined length of time should have the following:

1. Work/student permit
2. Visa

If they begin having children while here and plan not to leave then they should:

1. Apply for U.S. citizenship, take test, and become a Citizen.
2. Declare all taxable income.
3. Be a licensed driver with proper insurance coverage.
4. Obey the laws. (city, state, country)
5. Learn the language of THIS country...English and practice speaking, reading and writing the language.
6. Assimilate into the American society, not vice-versa.
7. Honor our countries flag.

I don't believe the U.S. should support anyone from another country with our taxpayers dollars. They are not entitled. The only reason "illegals" come here from all over the world is because they know that the U.S. is collapsing internally. We are quickly becoming a country that once was..."United we Stand, Divided we Fall" to "Divided we Stand, United we Fall"!!!

I am a proud third generation American with ethnic backgrounds from Native American and Mexican. The first generation became citizens.

America.....the envasion is subtle...the long-term effects are breaking the proverbial "camels back". Either Americans get off their comfy rear-ends and begin protesting this and other issues that are slowly spiraling our country out of control or shut-up and quit your whining if you don't plan on doing anything but let off steam. We elect those city, state and country officials/politicians...time to remind them who they represent...Americans or the illegal immigrants???

If there was another wealthy country that would allow illegal immigrants to override their statutes and laws, then the illegal problem in America would not be so big an issue. Their is NO other country where the illegals flock too...no other country is bending over backwards to "wet-nurse and burp" these peoples. Lastly, if the illegal's all packed up and left this country...the jobs would not go unfilled...the country would not come to a screaching halt...and the economy would not collapse. Those are just "myths" created by those who promote the illegals. Americans...lets all become "myth busters"!!!

If they come here and are 'trying to be American', I'm prejudiced in their favor, already.

Our problem is we can't afford to pay for expensive services like universal education and health care for all the poor people of other countries, as well as our own poor. Here those who aren't poor pay almost all of the cost of those services for those who are poor. That is why we limit poor immigrants.

However, I personally would look at this as a going forward matter and screen and legalize those already here, if I got border security and interior enforcement. Still, the huge number of illegal immigrants here now has a huge impact on our services. For that reason I would not also approve of letting them bring in more family not already here. Also, I would then want limited immigration going forward until our schools and health care began to recover.

We aren't mean and we don't dislike them, or their numbers here could never have gotten so large. There are just too many coming, and our services are failing for our own children, poor and elderly. Our first responsibility is to our own people.

If they are legal, I like them just fine.
If you are forever trying to be American, then why are you voting in Mexican elections, saying "Viva Mexico," flying the Mexican flag, and sometimes not even knowing English, the common language of this country? See the contradiction? Probably not, but it was worth a try.

Yes thay come here illegaly but have you ever been in mexico? It really sucks to live there, they are so poor it hurts to see the way they live. I know its wrong to brak the law the way thay do it but its nost the mexicans we should worry about. Remember 9/11? None of them were mexicans. at least they come here to make a living. They work hard, they do the jobs that nobody wants and thay get paid a lot less. They live in fear of getting caught. It must be really hard for them.

I think they are good people just trying to do what is right for their family and trying to survive or make a better life for themselves. AT least one of our ancestors immigrated here for the same reason. Therefore none of us would be here with all the oppurtunity that we do have if someone hadn't immigrated here to do what the Mexicans are trying to do now.

If they are here legally and are trying to make a better life for their family. They should not be on welfare, they should work like the rest of us or we should help them go to school so they can at least get get better paying jobs. If they are illegal they should go back to their country. Illegal is Illegal. Do things legally.

I dont believe we should give them a home here. If they are not here legally then we should do whatever is necessary to send them back. But if they are here legally, then we should help them as best as we can. If they came here illegally then I would say that our help is not extended to illegal immigrants. Only those here legally are truely deserving of our support.

I think that we could best serve them (if they are illegal) by sending them home and putting them in line to become citizens just like everyone else.

Do they deserve special treatment for breaking the law? NO.

Other than that I don't have any problems with Mexican people.
