Seen it and read it but I have known for years that the Church had no real conflict with evolution. We are not saying we are certain of it just that it does not conflict with our belief in the Creator or His Son.
Peace of Christ,

Oh, dear! Here we go again... This is the ages-old dilemma of whether humans, Nature, the planet we inhabit, and the Universe were created by a higher being, a God or Goddess, or whether we are the result of an explosion or something else. In my humble opinion, there is not one right or wrong way to explain this without getting oneself into hot water with the rest of the world. As a former science major, I adhere to what I learned in school, but I also follow what my Pagan beliefs hold up as true. I am open minded and pay close attention to everyone else's opinions and explanations, something the whole world should learn to do, but in the end, this is a never-ending story. I am glad to know that a high-standing member of the Catholic Church has made such statements public. Perhaps, the winds of change have started to blow...

I'd say that if a church is teaching evolution...it is time to search for the true religion that doesn't dishonor our Creator in this way.
We don't have to disagree with science when it says the earth is millions even billions of years old. The Bible doesn't contradict that by any means, because a "day" in the Bible also signifies a period of time, so the creation of the earth could have taken Billions of years. However, when the Bible says that God created the animals according to their kind, there is no room for question regarding this. We didn't start out as something else. There is no fossil record of that.

I have difficulty believing much of the Catholic perspective. I am Christian and have faith in the pure, infallable Word of God. Try to read some apologetics and decide for yourself what is correct. Start with "The Biblical basis of modern science". AWESOME book. Try visiting www.khouse.org and downloading some of Chuck's lessons about creation. You will see that there are just too many holes in evolution theory to hold water.

Creationism is bull. But that doesn't mean that there is no God or that Jesus is not the savior. Anyone that believes in the Bible as fact either has not read it all or is a moron. I am a good christian who knows that evolution takes place.

According to Nostradamus the last pope before the rapture will be the one that will introduce the anti-christ to the world. Sounds like were running out of time.

I never believed in Catholic faith. Being brought up by 1/2-ly Catholic family, forget it I knew before anything else that religion was wrong. They worship idols, pictures and many are mixed up with Santeria (witchcraft). My faith now is in the Lord and what his Word says.
