ok guys, my amazing friend has been really down recently, i really want to try and help her out. shes stunning, portugese and normally the funniest person i know. has anyone got anything nice to say to her to cheer her up??

You can tell her the following,
While I have no idea why you are down, but what I want you to know is that you always have a friend in me. Whenever you want to share with me what is bothering you, I am always here for you. I don't have all the answers in the world and I won't pretend to be. But I do have two ears and they are always available to hear you out. You can always come to me without worrying how I may judge you based on what you tell me. You can also confide in me. What you tell me will stay between us, no third person will know what you tell me. In this world of unknowns, I know one thing is certain and that's friendship. I do cherish having a friend like you and thanks for granting me this honor to be your friend. As a friend, this is the least that I can do for you. Now the question is, would you let me be a friend to you in a time as this?

1) You have to mean what you say. If you don't want to hear her out, then don't say it.
2) I only want to help you to cheer your friend up. Please don't tell her that it is me who told you what to say. I just hope that I can help.

reminder her that she is beautiful, kind caring, basically all her good points. and others have said take her out somewhere, may be fix her up with a guy you know (if she is in to men, a girl if she prefers) you know here we don't.
just go do some of the things that normally make you happy. going pubbing and clubbing (drinking alcohol) is not realy advised when your depressed as it can cheer you up for a short while while your drinking it, but the after the alcohol has cleared your system you can be left more depressed and this can lead to alcoholism (my grandmother for example did this not fun to see an oap drunk).
so go window shopping take a holiday, something that you know she will like.
how old is she? if she is over 21 under 35 then i'm open for freindship maybe more.
(just for laughs, i'd never date via a forum like this)
seriously find out exactly why she is down lately if she is a true friend she will tell you whats wrong. you can then offer your best advice or she can ask for help on answers as you did.

If you really want to cheer her up, then speak to her from your heart. The fact that you took the trouble to ask us all is a sign that she's important to you.
Also, take time to be with her, listen to her and do stuff that she likes.
That'll all show her how much you care and nothing cheers a person up like real friends, the knowledge that someone cares for you and that you matter.

tell her she is the bomb! Nelly Furtado is very jelouse of her and Brad Pitt has been stalking her which is pissing off Angie. She already has a place with God! Jesus and We all love her and to cheer up!
