Because if u focus on all the bad stuff all the time, thats all the thoughts u have, if u focus on all the good stuff then u will have good thoughts, it human nature to think about the bad and the good. If your stressed or over worked, take some time off and enjoy life and forget about everything else for a day. It is just the nature of us humans, good and bad is a part of life, it has a balance.

You could be suffering from depression. See your doctor. Tell him how you feel.
Read the Bible. Some parts of the Old Testament might not be helpful to you right now. Read the Psalms, and the New Testament. Hang out with positive people. Listen to Christian music-right now I'm listening to "Oh How He Loves Us" by John Mark McMillan on the Realplayer.

I think that question attests to the validity of the bible. If all people didn't inherit sin from one man, and if there weren't such a deceptive influence such as Satan the Devil, wouldn't we have been able to totally avoid negative thoughts.

Because humans don't practice Objectivity...yet. We are currently emotionally influenced by random events around the world, we then react using these emotions.
If you begin practicing pure objective thought, don't emotionally knee-jerk react without the benefit of intellect....you will soon turn the tide....

It's human nature to think negative. I find that spending time in God's Word, The Bible, really changes my mindset.

negativity breeds other negative things. one way to change that is to switch the thoughts to positive responses. one game i play with my friends is to take a letter "such as the letter D " and speak of only negative things associated with that letter.....dumb, drugs, death, downers, drought, drown and down. then I would ask them to give me three positive responses in 60 seconds for the letter "D" and they find it almost impossible to do. try it and it will teach you how to "flip the script on negativity ".......hen

Its our lousy lazy brains won't do what their told. The useless desires to always be right and the need to never face true facts. Its a flaw in our makeup that we created not Him.
