Yes!

Can you imagine getting a sympathy card after a loved one died from an atheist?

Here's what it might say: Sorry to hear about your complete 100% loss..you may know you will never see that person EVER gain! Science has proved that they are GONE! Don't be tempted to get your hopes up..God is a liar, we are no more than bacteria, so get used to it!

Love, Annie Atheist

oooof!

You guys need to read the bible instead of listening to your pastors.

The afterlife is a deceptive ancient Roman Catholic belief that slid into Christian thinking.

Ecclesiastes 9:5: For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

The dead is dead! They have no memory, they have no knowledge. They are not breathing, because the breath of life given to them at birth has been given back to God:

Look at what God says when he is talking about the flood:
Genesis 6:17: And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

Proof that even the animals under heaven has the breath of life:
Genesis 7:15: And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.

Read the book of Revelation to see what happens when Christ comes again! It says the dead in Christ shall rise first, and the living (who are in Christ) will meet up with them in the clouds!!!! It doesn't say our bodies will come back together with spirits! Why are you deceiving yourselves? For us to have life and to be resurrected, God must give us this "BREATH OF LIFE" - when he does, we become a "living soul" ---> which is obviously a combination of our flesh and the breath of life.

Read the book of Revelation to see what "hell" is! Your concept of hell is totally Catholic. Hell is described in the bible as the "lake of fire" - used to completely destroy the devil, his followers, and his system. After Chirst comes for his followers, they will be in heaven for 1000 years. They are then brought back to earth in a great city. The city will be attacked by the devil and the wicked. God will then consume them in a lake of fire, and the saints will be walking on their ashes in tears - where God will dry away the tears, and there will be peace forever.

My gosh people! Hell isn't a tormenting burning fire that lasts forever! What kind of God would do that to the sinners he loves! In his mercy he destroys them completely - not to have them tormented forever.

Hell does not exist! At least not yet! Hell is only temporary. And God uses the lake of fire to completely eliminate sin from his universe.

I believe in it. First of all, the Bible talks about heaven and hell which is why I believe in it. But second of all, for those of you who don't believe in it, can I ask you this? Do you believe that people should be arrested and put in jail for stealing, vandalizing, etc.? Do you think people should be given tickets for speeding? Then how come you don't believe in heaven or hell? I mean, don't you think there should be a place for sinners? They should be punished too right? See, you can't believe there isn't a hell and also agree with punishment on earth.

Yes, I follow a Celtic path so I believe that I after death I will go to feast in the Otherworld for a period of time before coming back to learn more with the help and guidance of my ancestors.

Yes I do. I know that our family and friends are there waiting for us to join them in the spirit world.

That faith used to only be significant to me intellectually. Then three weeks ago, my Grandma died. Before that, I figured I probably wouldn't die--I'd just be taken up when Christ returns. Then my Grandma died, and I had this very peaceful feeling that said, "now if I die, it will be OK because my Grandma will be waiting there for me, and we'll be together."

I can die, or I can be translated. Either way is fine now.

yes , i do believe in after life- this will be Eternal life, or Eternal hell, the reason i believe this, is because the Lord say so in the Bible and I believe in God, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
There will be judgement day - the rapture will occur, and we will be in heaven with our loved ones (if we make it to heaven), i really long and life my love to inherit Eternal life. It sounds so wonderfull, and i want to praise and whorship Him with the Angels all day long. God bless

Everyone does. It's a question of courage admitting the fact so, very really everyone is in varying degrees of playing off the fact. Otherwise, people wouldn't be afraid of death, or injury. But they are.

No. I think that minutes after you stop breathing, the lights go out, and you cease to exist as a sentient being. There is absolutely nothing afterwords.
