Yes, any kind of smoke can irritate the mucous membrane passages and delay healing.

Take a Multivitamin everyday.
Drink plenty of water
Get Extra Rest
Don't take Dayquil unless you have to work (you will overdo it)

1. Quit smoking if you can.
2. Next best: lay off for 7-10 days.
3. Third best: Up your vitamin C for the next 7-10

Studies have shown that each cigarette paralyzes the cilia in your lungs for 15 minutes. The cilia are microscopic hair like projections that sweep bacteria, viruses, and junk up and out of your lungs, letting you cough it up. If they are paralyzed it all sits in your lungs, allowing you to get sick, etc.

Similar studies have not been performed with marijuana. But it is reasonable to theorize. Especially since it only requires ONE cigarette to cause a 15 minute reaction.

BTW- Smoking pot does increase your risk of cancer too- just like smoking cigarettes, it is just usually people who smoke pot smoke less that cigarette smokers.

Not trying to hassle you. Just trying to provide you with info.
Hope you feel better. Good luck.

it may delay your lungs from recovering a bit. That's all I can think of. but then again, if it makes you cough, maybe it will help get all the junk out of your lungs....hmmm....
