It is only safe to lose 2 pounds per week. Plus, that is the only way you'll keep it off. Losing weight gradually also means your skin won't look saggy and loose when you're down to a healthy weight!

Start by only eating half of what you normally eat, and do something physical for 30 minutes per day.

Chances are, if you drop just 12 pounds by August 23, you'll look and feel so much better, you'll be able to be patient and keep up the good work until all 60 are off.

Woah! Hang on there, girl! That's a bit more weight than you should be losing in a month!

Gastric bypass surgery would be the only way to do that. You shouldn't lose more than 3 pounds a week; it's not safe and even you DID lose that much a week it would probably be water weight anyway.

Talk to your doctor about surgery. Though it really would be better to just take your time and lose the weight naturally, especially at your age. It will take a while, but it is MUCH safer, has tons less risks, and afterwards you will feel really fit!

If you are trying to lose the weight before school to shock everyone, don't go nuts about it! People will notice easier if they see you more often while you're losing weight. It's strange, but true. Eventually they'll notice, but seriously, it takes them a while.

If you decide to lose weight the natural way, take a walk for 30 minutes a day, adding 10 minutes each week. Once you get up to an hour long walk, start biking or running for 20 minutes a day, adding on minutes once again. By the time you are biking for an hour a day, just keep at it and you'll keep losing.

Remember to EAT YOUR BREAKFAST. Eating Breakfast will reduce your hunger and increase your energy throughtout the day. You should have a large breakfast, smaller lunch, and light dinner. Or you can have multiple small meals throughout the day. Avoid snacking at night, and when you really want junk food, eat a half serving and substitute the other half with a fruit or veggie. Make sure you drink water too, it's helpful in losing weight faster. Be sure to lay off soda...it's high in cals.

That's how I lost 80 pounds of fat and gained 20 pounds of muscle, myself. I went from being 5"3 and 192 pounds to 5"6 and 131 pounds in 6 months. It has been really easy to mantain my weight now, and I'm 14 too!

Best of luck!:)

It would be impossible to lose that amount of weight in such a short time. Any plan that tells you that you can lose an incredible amount of weight in such a short time is a gimmick, don't believe it. If you are overweight, you need to make better food choices, eat smaller portions and exercise at least one half hour per day. Any doctor will tell you that to safely take off weight, you need to combine all of these factors. You really need to have a medical checkup first; to make sure that you do not have any medical conditions which are contributing to your weight problems. I don't know your age, but if you are a young person you need to get help with this, don't try to do it on your own, some otc products can be dangerous. The best way to lose weight is a few (3 or 4 pounds per week) if you lose too much too quickly it will come back even more quickly. Give up one "bad" item at a time so it isn't such a tough transition for you. If you like cookies and chips and soda; pick one item to cut back on, a serving at a time, until you can have the item occationally; possibly once a week, as a treat. There are lots of diet tips on the Oprah site. She has struggled with her weight all her life, and has worked with a lot of doctors and dieticians to get the weight off and find out what her triggers are. Best of luck to you. God bless!!

It may be possible, but it WILL take a lot of devotion and effort, and it's not that healthy for you. Don't be down on yourself because any amount of weight lost is good. Make sure to stay healthy and NEVER stop eating. Get into Yoga at home or a fun dance video that will keep you moviing. Go on brisk walks during the mornigna and evening, even jog/run a little if you feel like you can! Eat healthy, granola-type cereal in the morning with fruit, salad for lunch, and for dinner have some healthy protein food like lean chicken or fish. Have freh vegetables and drink plenty of water. Swimming also works wonders! As long as you try to be healthy, you should be able to shed th epounds you want and even a little extra! Good luck.

Im sorry to tell you this but it is not possible for anyone to lose 60 pounds in a month. you need to start excercising & eating less calories. BUT you will not lose 60 lbs in a months time. You need to get up and do stuff during the day and eat healthier maybe within 3-4 months you might see a 20-25lbs weight loss.

its really hard to lose weight, but if you really want to do it its not impossible :) Drink lots of water! Your body doesnt need any more fluids than water and if you can drink milk drink fat free ( thats whats best) juice has a ton of sugar in it, which isnt good for your body. When I wanted to lose weight I wanted people to be very specific with me, cos it can be confusing. I lost 80 pounds when I was between 19 and 21. Eat lots of vegetables, and fruit but more veggies espically green veggies. Drink lots of water, eat lean meats like skinless chicken, but not fried (either baked or broiled) you can have fish (again, not fried) eat yogurt (fat free) cottage cheese, you can have noodles and bread, but make sure their whole wheat. do a lot of walking, it helps to walk with your dog if you have one or listen to music. No fast food, no soda (diet or not) no candy, no cake, no pie, you know, common sense stuff. Its so hard to lose weight, but trust me all the hard work is so worth it! You can show all those skinny girls that you can be hot too! It may take a little while but if you dont stick to it, it wont work, just take it day by day honey, youll get there! Good luck!!! :)

you should lose weight, absolutely, but not in such a rush. Short-termed diets harm your body and you end up even fatter than before.
Start eating less, eat more fruit, more veggie, drink a lot of water and MOVE YOUR BUTT!
That´s the only way.
You will see, you will shed pound after pound.
Good luck

unfortinatlly you can't the most you can probabally do is 20. And that is even to much for the timeframe. Learn to love yourself the way you are. I know it is hard I'm 105 and hate my body but it's all inside you. You're a beautiful person within.

Hang in there. losing 60 pounds in a month is certainly dangerous to your health.

You need to speak to a nutritionist or dietician for the best advice as they can provide you with the best advice regarding your question.
