My friend is an African-American and she complains of this all the time. She claims that compared to other races of women, black women are approached the least.---Not sure I can empathize or identify with her. What's your take?

My friend is pretty slim (not at all out of shape)--I would say she has a light brown to brown complexion . She usually wears her hair natural (wavy) and is not ugly.

i get your question. i think as far as world view, African American womens beauty is not put on a pedistle as white European. This is why in the past alot of us did things to ourselves to appear more European.

I think African American woman are desired, however there are a few that have given all of them a bad name. I do believe that African American sistas are the most beautiful creatures on the face of this earth, however with each sister you don't know what you going to get.
You don't know if you are going to get someone that is sophisticated or someone straight out the ghetto, or someone that thinks all men are dogs. You never know so there are a lot of men that are hesitant in approaching them because you do not know. However I LOVE them!

I would have to say that's untrue.... I currently date a white gal but only because I line in the north land and theses are not to many of us up here. With that said I have black sisters and a black mother and have date all but 3 of the black women in this state (Just kidding) but I think black woman are very very sexy and some of the qualities that they have I seek in the other woman that I do date.

I disagree here. It may have something to do with attitude, but most African American Women have a way they carry theirseilf that makes most Men very attractive to them. ANd for most Men they don't know hwo to approach.............afraid of being rejected. But believe me we are the same as any othe nationality

I totally do not agree, I have no idea where you are from and what you friend looks like, but it is possible that she just isnt attractive because where I am from we are desired a lot. Black is beutiful and we have a lot to offer any man that may try and talk to us. Your friend cant say the least desried in the world because she has never been around the world, depending on your preference a man will desire any woman he chooses but where the races may be predominant, whites will desire whites, black will desire blacks, chinese, indian, and so on and so forth. She needs to get a grip and allow herself to be open minded so that someone will desire her for who she is and not for her color!!!!!!!

I think that in america sometimes the standards for Black Beauty is to be as white as possible, but being thin and having blonde hair isn't not a prototype for beauty

No offense......but your friend may not be all that attractive.
NOT because she's Black, but for other reasons that have to do with natural beauty and self-confidence (which seems that she's lacking)....which is the only reason I can think of why she would say something like that!
Sounds to me like your friend is using being Black as an excuse to cover up the fact that she's not all that attractive or viewed as being self-confident by men.
(by-the-way....is she heavy - "fat"? just asking because that could be a reason for her lack of confidence.)
The truth is that a man would sleep with any woman he finds attractive, REGARDLES of race.
Yes, many men may have their preferances, but no man is going to exclude a whole race of women! Most men, when asked, will tell you that their primary preferance is: "FEMALE!" (Race has no bearing in this decision!)
A woman is desired by a man PRIMARILY if she's attractive (regardless of race), or if she has other qualities that the man finds to his liking.
Find out what your friend meant by the word "desired."

women should not be put into profiles like that i try to get to know a woman first before i make judgements about them on a personal note some of my longest relationships have been with black women so yeah i agree but lets try to change it shall we people!!

I think your girlfriend needs to be on some kinda medication. She sounds Manic Depressed,,,big time. You said she complains all the time,and the very thought of her cutting down her own race,is beyond questionable to me. Quick....get your friend some help...she's sick!

I disagree. Many, many of African American girls are absolutely beautiful, plus have amazing bodies. I think the person who told you that is wrong.
