Yes, it's safe. In fact, it's a great idea if you can make chicken broth ice cubes (cook chicken broth, pour into ice tray). With chicken broth ice cubes, it has flavours which would interest the puppy. Also, with puppies, they're teething so it's good that they can gnaw on something other than your shoe or furniture corners. The chicken broth ice cubes can soothe her sore gums.

Another thing you can try is to knot a clean old dish towel. Wet it, and let it chill in the freezer. Give it to your teething puppy to massage her tender gums. Don’t worry: make the knot big and your puppy can’t swallow it.

Good luck & have fun with your puppy.

All my dogs love ice cubes. They are also a good way to keep your puppy hydrated after bedtime without filling his bladder to cause 'accidents' in the house before his morning outing. Rather than leaving a full bowl of water out for the puppy overnight, place a few icecubes in the bowl instead, he'll have fun playing with them and they won't fill his blatter....just make sure the ice is back in the bowl before you go to be or you'll be stepping in puddles in the morning.

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/05juU

If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.

It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

I would say why not. Most dogs don't have a problem with crushing them but try the crushed ice first if you have it. The cubed might be too big.

I agree. Why not? Just make sure it's not too big. if they start to get annoyed or act funny, take the ice cube and chuck it out the window.

Ice cubes int he water is very refreshing for dogs especially in very hot weather. My dogs love them. There is nothing in them that can hurt your dog, it is just frozen water.

Is there any way it could choke on it? I'm not sure but if it looks like the puppy could accidently choke I probably wouldn't let it play with them.

Yes, and when they start teething at about 5 months the ice will help the pain.

Here is something no one has mentioned. I have a 10 y/o Bichon. He eats icecubes every day and has 0 tartar on his teeth.

They might like that for teething. Just watch it though and make sure they don't choke by accident.
