They were all bad people who had been given 120 years (the time it took Noah to build the ark) to repent and DIDN'T DO IT! The only ones who did were Noah and his family.Read in Genesis about the time of Noah and how he was ridiculed for making an Ark in a time that the Earth had never before seen rain! He preached and taught messages about the sin of the people leading to their destruction, but they would hear none of that and were destroyed. Sin cannot enter into Heaven, therefore unbelief couldn't enter into the Ark.

Yes, they were bad people and God gave them a second chance but the bad people did not listen, so God had to teach them right from wrong the hard way, so he made the great flood.

It is possible that he forgave them in the next life. I wonder what the unicorns did that was so beyond reproach?
God wroks in mysterious ways. To question his moties is quite difficult. While God is forgiving, he is also just. he killed all the firstborn of egypt in one fell swoop (but for some reason continues to spare Charlton Heston, damn you). The Islamic faith has an incredible list of things that describe god starting with the word most (most merciful, most powerful, most benevolent, etc. etc.). Maybe human population had exceeded what the earth with it's current technology could support? who can really be sure.

yes God is forgiving God
but not like most of Cristine believe
he forgives when man turn to him and ask 4 forgiveness but if 100% people not asking him for forgiveness or committing sins again and again so every thin has its limit

If you are repentant and ask God to forgive you and ask Jesus into your heart, He will do it. The people in the flood were evil and not interested in God.If someone would have wanted to turn to God and enter the ark before God closed the door, they could have. The people mocked and laughed at Noah and were not repentant.

They could have been. He gave them 120 years to repent, they choose not to. Free will.
