I have met him at a speaking engagement. Actually, I've found him an interesting character. I appreciate a lot of what he has to say, but I feel much of it is lost in political rhetoric.I've read his books, seen his movies and spoken to him briefly. Like it or not, he's just as guilty of "twisting" facts to fit his opinion as the right is.
Personally, I don't take him too seriously because he's as biased and closed minded just as much as the right.
Turboweegie, you're a twit. On September 6, 2004, Moore announced that, because he was seeking a television airing of Fahrenheit 9/11 prior to the November presidential election, the film would not be submitted for consideration for a Best Documentary Oscar (from which a broadcast within nine months of release would disqualify the film under Oscar rules). However, the film won other awards such as the People's Choice Award for Favorite Motion Picture, an unprecedented honor for a documentary.
That's WHY it wasn't selected.

erudite...here we go again. Your question was posed with the expectation that all of the Bush bashers, praise Michael Moore supporters and fringe wing liberals (oops, that's the only kind) would come rushing to agree with and defend your biased claim.
Well, look at the responses so far and I bet you are in denial that the responses are real, that it must be a right wing conspiracy to keep your Micheal Moore buddies of the site.
You must be a member of some Michael Moore Cult since you claim only selected people (pro-Moore and anti-warmongers) can bask in his ample shadow. And yes, I'd meet with guy because there isn't anything he could say that would upset me and I would enjoy pointing out even just one or two o his lies or "mis-statements" and get the record his adamant of denial his ownership, control (pick your own term) of Halliburton stock.
By the way, I notice that you failed to mention that more and more Democrats, Hollywood types and liberals are distancing themselves from Moore. Care to explain why?

Read this, and you will be so mad at Michael Moore for duping you. (Hey, he duped me too). That guy does nothing but lie. His lying isn't even confined to what he writes, says, or puts in a movie. He purposely dresses like a working class slob so people will forget the fact that he is a multi-millionaire when he talks like he's just an "average Joe". It's all part of an act.
Read the book, "Do As I Say, Not As I Do: Profiles In Liberal Hypocrisy". Michael Moore has tried to portray himself as some common man champion of equality. He boasted that, if you are a young black person, you should send your resume to him because his production company wants to hire blacks. The truth is that the number of blacks he has is minimal. About 3%.
Did you like Fahrenheit 9-11? Well, after I saw the rebuttal movie, "FahrenHYPE 9-11" I was furious at Moore for taking us all for fools. Read the website below which painstakingly details 59 LIES Moore tells in his movie.
http://www.davekopel.org/Terror/Fiftysix-Deceits-in-Fahrenheit-911.htm
By the way, I look forward to your next question: "How many people are upset with Michael Moore for being such a smarmy, lying douche bag?"

First, Michael Moore's shadow is big enough to cover plenty of people.
Second, I would like to meet him so that I can tell him what a disgrace he is to America. I think that he fabricates the truth to suit his needs.

Goebbels and Moore are cut from the same cloth. They each distort bits and pieces of the truth to reach a predetermined end. But the same can be said for most of today's media.

No. I'm not partial to lying sacks of manure like Michael Moore, who makes money off others' pain, while selling propaganda and lies.
You did realize that Farhenheit 9/11 didn't get into the Academy Awards Documentary section because it was full of fiction (i.e. LIES), didn't you?

Moore likes the sound of his own voice. He seems to forget that Bin encumbered presented the religious holy warfare rhetoric to the table, no longer any opposite direction round. certain he became wealthy, yet certain as hell he killed in the call of Allah. Bin encumbered himself should be the first to admit that. Moore has extra money ninety 9.9% of people, yet he's continuously yapping about the wealthy. i'd favor to ascertain his tax go back.
