Thats a tough one. I dont believe that abortion should be banned for health of mother or fetus, so I would hope if I so decided that I would be able to hae one safley. That said,
10 years ago I would have said I'd quit the Xanax and suffer through, or take the Xanax and hope my baby was okay. But now, I have 4 children, I am a single mom so they need me, and I couldnt take that risk, them losing me, or burdening my children who I hae now with it, nor would I want to damage a baby, severly affect its life because of my own choices, so I MAY abort, but I cant honestly say what Id do for sure, it hasnt happened yet.

You are irresponsible! The pill is not a 100% effective way of preventing pregnancy. You are taking a drug that will most likely lead to birth defects and you get pregnant... It is also possible that the Xanax countered the effects of the pill... Have you ever heard of the Rhythm Method? It works... If you know what you are doing and are 'Responsible'.
You have two choices... Have an abortion and live with the guilt of having had an abortion but knowing that you ended the life of a fetus that most likely would have been born with birth defects... or bring the child to term. The baby may be happy, healthy and be able to live a normal life. Of course, if the child is born with birth defects you will have to dedicate your life to caring for this child knowing that your actions created your situation...

Although i'm against abortion as a form of contrceptive, if it would cause health issues to the baby or the mother, then abortion would be a choice, that's figuring all other choices have been discussed and none are helpful. In this case i would not look down on an abortion but then again the child might be deformed but still have normal brain functions so i'm not sure.

I believe it's a question left unanswered. However, I would abort the baby to give it peace of not having to live with so many disabilities. I look at disabled people and feel sorry for them, many were kids my age or my sisters' that died before they even "finished" school. Some of them go through pain everyday and I don't see why their parents could do that to them. If they loved them, which they do, they would have done something that wouldn't have led them to a live time of torment, teasing, and torture.

Speaking as a care giver for a special needs child. She is worth it!!. Life is sacred. If her mom had not had the courage to go ahead and have her baby, knowing that the baby is special needs I would not nor would she experience the total love and joy that that girl brings.
Yes it is hard work but to be void of her in our lives would would bring a terrible emptiness.
So Yes I would have the baby and love it dearly!!!!!

God wants every child to be born. Many children that have birth defects have happy lives. Who should decide they shouldn't get that chance?
