i dont know if this is recommended by others or not but i used to make and "X" with my fingernail in the bite for some reason it stops itching. Press firmly put dont make your self bleed. You could try an anti-itch cream or antihistamine. Have a good day i hate bug bites too!

Take any brand of fluoride tootpaste and only apply a dab to the infected area. Somehow the toothpast will remove the irritation which causes the scratching reaction; that leads to the bruising and soreness. Trust me I used it several times as a camp counselor.

I agree with Riss...AFTERBITE is a product that can be bought in Home Depot. It is a stick made of Ammonia and alcohol. You rub it on the bite. It is the best I have ever used for insect bites, sunburn, poison ivy, and minor cuts.

A dad of rubbing alcohol always worked for me. I would put the alcohol on a cotton ball and dab it on the bite. Good Luck!!
