I'm in my 30's but a guy. I think monkeymustard got it. When you're in your 20's, there's no fear of time. I read an article once that said that women in their 30's will tend to settle for the "best" suitor available rather than to continue to date. They will settle for less ideal and lower their bar and expectations. All this because of the natural biological clock. Plus the candidate pool is getting thin the older they get. It's different for men. We can wait and wait and wait until "the one" shows up ... or not at all.

They are at the point in their lives that the dating game they used to be a part of is getting old and they are maturing into what matters to them in terms of their personal life. You can still date when your older, but the dynamics are different. Some still do till they are old, but that's few and far between.

It depends on the person. A father for their future children would be one guess but you'd actually have to ask the individual you want to date that question.
