I get really dizzy and it is hard to keep my balence. A good strong orgasm affects the muscles in the thighs so its possible that it could affect standing or walking, or make the legs shakey. As you have probably noticed the guys usually don't jump right up. (unless there is an angry husband charging in) We are programed to want to lay down because this is best for conception and this is part of our inborn want to continue the species. Guys don't have these problems.

It's not just a girl thing, & I think a lot of it has to do with positioning, at least for me. I don't have trouble standing after masturbating, & I don't think I would right after a girl got me off by being on top of me, though they usually don't get up immediately. Now, after sex in the missionary position, I have trouble moving off a girl for a little while, & if she lets me, I much prefer to just lay there for a minute or two before trying to move. Of course, I try not to put too much weight on her, but I at least prefer to not have to pull out & roll over right away, as my legs usually feel quite numb. So, you aren't alone.

i don't know, but hey, orgasms are better than standing upright. My man get weak in the knees too - he gets all shaky, just not as much. Maybe it's not a girl thing only?

In my personal experience with my fiance, I always have huge orgasms. And for me it depends on what position you are doing and for how long. So it can happen with either sex, either at the same time or just one person. Either way enjoy the moment..the small problems you experience will dissipate in time

If you've ever given a guy an orgasm, you would already know the answer to this question.
