My boyfriend's dad is a cab driver- my dad is a managing director..his family speaks in a different dialect..we speak english..and (i fear most of all that ) my parents are snobs..we're of the same race and religon though..ugh. Am i in a meet the fockers situation?

Well if you are going to let what your families think determine the result of your relationship then yes. But if your into your relationship because of how you feel about each other then you will be fine

It does sound like a Meet the Fockers situation to be honest. However, your parents love you (I'm assuming) and it is just part of their job to love and accept the person you want to be with. I think you should talk to your parents and let them know that regardless of what his dad may do, you think he is a good guy. Better a job than no job at all, right? So my answer is that it can work, it just might be a little more effort on your part to convince your parents this guy is for you.

Yes. Just don't let your parents get i the way of your relashionship. Just learn to ignore his dialect, and think of things your family has in common, maybe both of your familys have aunts that like to sew, somewhere along the lines of that.

plan a bbq but make sure u have good food then see how they get along but the secret iz 2 have good food if you have good food u have happy people thats how i got in good with my mans family ther rich im normal there black, white & im mexican& white well try it nd juz see how it works out

You should do what makes you happy, so if this guy is the perfect one for you then what background he comes from shouldn't matter.
