I am so sorry about your dog.
This sounds like something that happened at our house about 18 months ago. One of our dogs found rat poison and ate it.
We didn't know that she had done this, but she began acting really weird, when "suddenly" she began to bleed (her stools and urine). We were getting her ready to go to the vet when she went into a coma and died.
Our vet had never heard of such a thing, either. However, his associate had. He checked our dog for massive internal bleeding and it was he who told us what she had probably done.
We went home and searched the yard. All we found was scraps of what had been a box of poison. The dog had eaten the poison ten days earlier. It was about the end of the eighth day before there were any symptoms. By then it was too late.
Our other dogs were immediately given Vitamin K shots and then followed up with the same in pill form (this lasted for about 10 days) and all three of them were fine.
I hope this helps.

My friend had a dog with similar issues, but they got it to the vet before it died (they had to put her down), but what happened was, she had a tumor that burst inside her body (i believe it was a stomach tumor), and she was just full of blood. I hope that helps... The dog was I think about 4 or 5 years old, so she was kinda young.
Well maybe like everyone said it was poison. I was just saying the only thing I have been in contact with. It is very sad when dogs go, especially so suddenly like that. I hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry for your loss. It must have been a terrible ordeal.
Rat or squirrel poison is a good possibility, as that is how it acts.
If you have a mentally sick neighbor, that is the most common way that psychos kill dogs.
Otherwise, it could be from eating a splintery bone, or peice of wood. It doesn't have to have been recently, as those splinters can stay there a long time before bursting through the intestinal wall.

It happened to our dog too. Rat poison. People don't realize rat pioson takes 3 days to kill a rat. So rats can walk aound sick easy prey for a dog. Or if the poison wasn't put in a place the dog couldn't get to he just got into it. Or someone didn't like your dog and maybe put rat poison in raw hamburger or something that he would eat and toseed it to him? However it happened, it was rat poison. It make the blood not clot, so they bleed internally. So sorry.

It sounds like parvo.... it destroys the stomach lining and everything that comes out is bloody and nasty. Or he could have gotten into some antifreeze... it's poisonous but very tasty to animals for some reason.
If the vet doesn't know.... then it's a mystery.
Sorry about your doggie... :(

I'm so very sorry about your dog. My condolences to you and your family.
I'm sorry to say the I believe your dog ate some rat poison. Rat poison thins out the blood so the dog would bleed from vomiting, urinating and defecating.
Again, I'm very sorry for your loss.

It is possible to have a autopsy done on your dog to ascertain what was wrong with it. If you really want to know. There is a possibility that what caused your dogs death is still within your home and may be causing you ill effects. I, in your shoes would have the dog's body checked to really see what was wrong.

Sounds like poison, Don't get another until you find out. The vet could do a necropsy.
