that's perfectly normal.
for sedentary people, the required amount of water is 8-10 cups a day.
if you do exercise, then your water needs increase significantly--up to 16-18 cups of water--depending on body size
hardcore weightlifters drink sometimes up to 20-24 cups of water daily (they need water to solubilize the protein they intake, and they need water to rehydrate their tired body tissues)
so 12-15 for you is perfectly normal and good

Oddly enough the most recent studies suggest that 8 IS NOT the best amout for everyone. Some require less & others more, but water is a good thing. Unless you are drinking/peeing 18 hours a day staight I don't think anyone can really get too much so don't worry about getting too much. " Everything that grows needs water"

That may be bad. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing. Too much water can lead to water intoxication, where the water dilutes the stuff in your body that you need. You could go into shock, pass out even. Cut down to 8-10 glasses a day.

It depends. 12 to 15 glasses isn't terrible, but you don't want to drink more than your body can handle - it's called water toxicity.
I drink an average of 100 ounces of water a day and that works for me. (It may or may not work for you.)

It depends on your exercise level. There is a point when the body reaches full hydration, and drinking too much water past that point can make you extremely ill from overhydration. If you exercise/sweat regularly to semi-regularly, more than 8 glasses would be fine.

"Drinking too much water can lead to a condition known as water intoxication and to a related problem resulting from the dilution of sodium in the body, hyponatremia. Water intoxication is most commonly seen in infants under six months of age and sometimes in athletes. "

If you are thirsty then drink more. Don't force yourself to dring more water than your body wants.
If you are really trying to hydrate yourself then go at a pace of about a quarter cup every 15 minutes. Your body can handle that pace and you'll just pee out the excess.

As long as you are eating a balanced diet and exercising you are probably OK. If you are always thirsty or wake up in the night to drink more water, you need to see a health professional and talk this over soon.

Damn girl.
Sometimes it can be harmful if you drink too much, also it depends on what kind of glass you use. The 8 glasses a day i think are 12 oz. glasses
