I have very dark brown hair, when wet or with gel in, it looks black. After a couple weeks of hot, sunny weather, my hair has started to naturally lighten.

I have fairly short hair, it's a bald taper, so I want to lighten the color while still leaving a good amount of the original color. I was wondering what products I could use to mimic the weeks of sun and chlorine exposure which "faded" my hair to this color in the first place?

A product called "Sun-In". It replicates the sun bleached look. You can get it at any drug store, Walgreen's/Rite-Aid, wherever.

Stay in the sun a lot. Usually it looks cool whenever you keep your hair in a ponytail and then go in the sun. It gives it cool natural highlights.

Or you could just do more activites outside in the sun. Like swimming or hanging around by the pool. Good Luck.

Such rude a** answers on here. Maybe you can try some salons and see what products they use. I think they have a gradual lightening product that will work for you. Otherwise I would suggets that you dye it a darker shade of blonde, until you find the color you are wanting.

Put lemon juice in your hair and sit out in the sun for an hour or two. Works just like highlights!

go sit in the hot sun for a while or you can go to a hair dresser like the rest of the world to get your hair lightened.
