If people hate Christians it is probably because "Christians" have brought it upon themselves. For close to two thousand years, Christians have been Government and at times the Law of the land. They Persecuted, Brutalized and even murdered many in the name of their faith. After a time they were left as a religion but they continue to denigrate, condemn, judge and harm others who are different with both their words and their deeds. To quote the Book to which they so lovingly cling to as an excuse for their hatred "If you sow the wind, you will reap the whirlwind" to put it another way, what goes around, comes around.

Hey, it comes with the territory.
Now are you an equal opportunity hater, or are you focused on specific denominations? For example, do the Episcopalians get the same degree of loathing from you as the Baptists and Roman Catholics? And what about the Quakers?
And, given the vague nature of your question, why are you hating so? Even if you don't believe in a soul, don't you realize how corrosive hatred is to your peace of mind?
So, rather than submit to hate as a way to show your disagreement with the opinion of others, why not demonstrate it in more civilized ways? Perhaps by actually engaging more rational Christians (and, quite frankly there are many more who are interested in quietly pursuing their spiritual beliefs than the Bible-beating headline grabbers) in a respectful difference of beliefs, perhaps you can vanquish the hate in your own heart. For hatred hurts the person who hates far more than its intended target.

The hate towards Christians come from ignorant people who don't know the history of this religion. These same people blame a religion for wrongs made throughout history by many governments, when in fact they had no association with Christians. Ignorant people always try to blame others for their own problems.Just a reminder to those ignorants, Christians are hated mostly by Muslims who are also ignorants of their own religion.

Jesus said the world would hate us because we are not a part of the world. We do not do as they do, do not think as they do and they hate that which they do not understand. Those who hate us are in darkness and too blind to see it.
They will try and rationalize it and bring up the Crusades as if it were an ongoing thing - and it does not matter that we point out that the Roman Catholic Church violence had nothing to do with Christ but power mongers who hijacked the Church or rather claimed to be Christian.
They will try and rationalize that because someone who calls themselves Christan has lied to them or stole from them, all Christians are the same.
They will rationalize because Christians do not embrace homosexuality that we are evil and the world fails to realize homosexuality is another sinful degradation of Sin... whatever is of sin is of darkness, not light.
The list goes on and on.

i have wondered that... i think it is because so many of us (but not all) are so critical and hipocritical of other's faiths and some people don't take time to focus on being Christlike instead of right..... they hate us for the people they call "stereotypical" christians... the ones that don't follow their religion, but instead they disrespect and shove their God into other religions. it sorta sucks that now the view of christians has changed just because of the disrespectful christians.

Why? Jesus told us why? He said that they hate Him so they will hate you. It's not Christians you hate, it's the message and the messenger. No, it's no wonder why. Some wear your contempt as a badge of honor. Jesus was hated and persecuted and so will His followers be.

No, Jesus said: Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. -John 15:20.
If they hated Jesus enough to persecute Him who is perfect, how much more will the hate and persecute Christians also. So no surprises here.
Just need to make sure it is persecution (judgment without cause) not prosecution (judgment with cause)

Not really as Christ told us that the world would hate us as it hated Him. We are in the world not of it and if we belonged to the world it would love us. But because we belong to Christ we are going to be hated and persecuted.
