I need to look for voids or structure faults within a thin ~2mm diameter wire. I need a non destructive test that will not damage the wire.
Is ultra sound the best? Are there any other methods? Please point me in the direction of information on any technique that might work,
Many Thanks

I forgot to mention that the wires are used as mechanical supports, not electrical wiring to carry current.
Also, I would like to reiterate my request for additional info so that I can look into using the techniques.
Thanks again

Eddy current. However 2mm wire tends to self inspect during the manufacturing process.
