You only get a hangover if you stop drinking. Sure, do all those other things people here suggest, like drinking water and taking aspirin, but I have always found that staying drunk is most effective.

Alcohol dries out the system and the hangover is a result of that. If a lot of water is consumed before you hit the hay and you allow that water to go though your system, no hangover in the morning. At least that is my experience. Good question!!

Same thing you are detoxing in a minor way. Plenty of water and also drinking somthing sugary or eating somthing sweet helps. It tricks you body into thinking it is getting more alcohol because alcohol breaks down into sugar. Just do not drink any liquids too fast in the am. Try dry toast and lay back down for 15 min. This soaks up all of the crap left over in your stomach. To prevent, pace, don't mix too many drinks and eat before sleep!

Consuming alcohol in any amount causes dehydration, and logically one would then conclude that consuming a large amount of booze would make one very dehydrated. Also the alcohol goes directly to the bloodstream and when too much enters at one time the body has to minimize other functions in order to flush out the toxins due to the excessive alcohol.

Alot of times it's due to dehydration and lack of quality sleep combined with your organs working over time to clean the alcohol out of your blood.
If you drink water and take aspirin before bed then that may be why you dont feel the effects like they do.

Becuase when you drink, you're putting toxins in your body. Therefore, your body tries to get rid of them. THis usually happens by throwing up.
