My friend is from Pakistan, she married an american 7 years ago, one year later they came to the States..after two years she left him for another man. Now after 4 more years she is getting a divorce. My friend wants to know how to make sure immigration lets her renew her green card. She has a good job., but she is worried INS may think she married to come to America.

She plans to remarry and sponsor her relatives in as soon as she can. I was thinking it would be hard for her because people are so anti -foreigner now.

Usually the limit for INS is five (5) years. She should be okay.

How do you know she didn't? If she was married to the guy for two years in the states she has no worries.

No, she'll be fine ... she should have her permanent residence card anyway by now ...
