If you want to buy for the same cost as a dealer, which is what wholesale is, then you need to also pay the costs associated with being a dealer. In most states you will need a fixed place of business, and will have to post a bond. You will also have to pay dealer licensing fees, and any and all state and local taxes.

For new cars, following site is a good one, also try joining Sam's club, they have great deals for members, and you don't need to haggle.

Generally if you are flexible, you can check out dealer lot inventory and get a great deal directly from the dealer if you time it right.

Also if you have a buddy in with one of the car manufacturers, they get low-mileage off-executive-lease deals which they can pass on to their friends
