i have curly hair with a lot of volume...i wanted to go to the beauty salon to get layers and blowdry it every week...but im kinda scared that it will look bad...i know it will grow but it will take long...what should i do?? i have an oval face and black hair..

My hair is also naturally curly, and I've tried a lot of things out.. 10 different colours, and in one summer I went from having hair down to my waist, and then cutting it to shoulder length. When it was long, it kind of had a style but you couldn't really see and it was just 'long'. I like my shorter look a lot better, I have layers and bangs, and it's easily controllable... I can straighten it in 10-15mins, and so I have more options. I don't know how long your hair is, but I say go for it. I don't get why you'd have to have it blow dried every week though?

If your scared it will look bad don't do it. I dont' know how layers work in curly hair I think it will look like a big poof on top of your head. My mom has volume but not curls and that is how her hair looks short. Talk to the stylist and find one that will work w/your hair type. A good stylist wil know...a bad one will not so run!

Ask them to thin it out there a special pair of scissers and then ask for long layers and ask the stylist what produsts there using and go to the drug store and find the same type of product only a 1/3 of the price

Go for it. I had hair way down my back and I got it cut shoulder length a few weeks ago. I don't regret it at all. It won't take as long to grow back as you think. I'm thinking about getting mine cut again already.

if u have curly hair and a oval face then wat the hell you look like me ............lol............but yeah go ahead and go to the slon cuz i was scared to cut my haor but after i did it it came oyut to pretty.............but dont get it straighten every week dat messes up ur hair...............luv alwayz
