First of all a poor person is not about money. you can live under the bridge or in the penthouse if you are walking with God it does not matter. Usually the way it works is that your condition in life materialistically is consistent with the best place for you to learn. since this life is all about surrender to God, then some need to be in a place without trappings, in order to see the opportunity. Some may only be led back to God in the penthouse. They may need every material thing desired to find out that that is not the answer. When THINGS no longer make them happy they will start to seek something more meaningful. Waa Laa! God.
God is Omnipotent and knows you better then you do. He will allow the circumstances that will best deliver you from your self. The true purpose of life is to reinstate with the Father through the path that Jesus was sent here to lead us back to God on. When you have learned everything you need to know on the material level you are on, then it will change. Just surrender to the circumstances and let the Holy Spirit teach you.

I think Mr. Oral Roberts needs to read the Book of Job. Not all suffering comes from personal sin. Sometimes it is a spiritual trial or test and sometimes it is an attack of Satan on a persons walk with Christ. Even God is purified in fire. Personally I think that the poor probably have very beautiful souls as they are not so confined by their posessions and worldly pursuits. Christ himself basically said the rich have a harder time living right.

Romans 3:23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Sin is to be blamed and more so Satan. That is why heaven is not on earth it is in heaven and this earth will be destroyed and a new one built and the city that is being built in heaven will come down and we will live perfect and happy forever. John 3:16-17
All humanity is now involved in a great controversy between Christ and Satan regarding the character of God, His law, and His sovereignty over the universe. This conflict originated in heaven when a created being, endowed with freedom of choice, in self-exaltation became Satan, God's adversary, and led into rebellion a portion of the angels. He introduced the spirit of rebellion into this world when he led Adam and Eve into sin. This human sin resulted in the distortion of the image of God in humanity, the disordering of the created world, and its eventual devastation at the time of the worldwide flood. Observed by the whole creation, this world became the arena of the universal conflict, out of which the God of love will ultimately be vindicated. To assist His people in this controversy, Christ sends the Holy Spirit and the loyal angels to guide, protect, and sustain them in the way of salvation. (Rev. 12:4-9; Isa. 14:12-14; Eze. 28:12-18; Gen. 3; Rom. 1:19-32; 5:12-21; 8:19-22; Gen. 6-8; 2 Peter 3:6; 1 Cor. 4:9; Heb. 1:14.)

Because Adam was told by God when he and Eve were banished from the Garden that they would have to "eat their bread by the sweat of their face." This means they have to WORK for it! I know bad things happen to good people, but even laziness is a sin! The Scripture says, "Go ye to the ant, sluggard! Learn her ways and be wise......" "Sluggard" means a lazy person. It's not always a question of sin that puts a person out there on the street, but a question of ignorance, laziness and etc. Like I said earlier, bad things sometimes happen to good people, but I look at how Job in the Bible was made lower than a snake's navel by losing his farm, his cattle, his children and etc., yet through maintaining his faith, he was able to regain it all through God blessing his hard work and sacrifice down through the years.

Everyone sins..........no exceptions! But a poor or homeless person isn't living "that" way because of sin. Human circumstances have caused their situation. God doesn't promise us that we will never have any problems if we are believers. Our faith is what helps us get through those hard times.

Sometimes we are born into conditions beyond our control.
The world is a sinful world and can cause burdens upon people who are not living terribly "bad lives".
The Bible says that all have sinned and fall short the glory of God.
All are equals, God loves us all the same. Even someone who is 'not sinning' is sinning. we all sin.
But their poverty is not always caused by their sin. It can be Satan.
I know some people who have lived in extreme poverty. I have a friend who was adopted from a third world country, where he lived in a mud hut. His struggle was hard, but his faith in God is strong. Even when his family was hungry, they had God, and that kept them alive.

lol... What!!!!!
we all are sinners, who told you such thing?
The first thing to do in getting to know God is to know yourself and your relationship to God as well as what you can receive from Him. The Bible declares that "all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God" (Romans 3:23). If you have not realized your condition of sinfulness, or if you have been deceived by false religions into believing that you are not a sinner, the thing to do is throw overboard this false religion.
You know that you have sinned and have been condemned in your own conscience for many acts you have committed in life. The Bible makes it clear that "sin is transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4) and that "all unrighteousness is sin" (1 John 5:17).
Anything that the Bible forbids is Sinful. Lists of Sins that damn the Soul are plainly recorded, so there can be no excuse for not knowing what the "Will of God" is "concerning Sin". In Mark 7:21-23 we read, "For from within, out of the "Heart of Men," proceed Evil thoughts, Adulteries, Fornications, Murders, Thefts, Covetousness, Wickedness, Deceit, Lasciviousness, an Evil eye, Blasphemy, Pride, Foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and Defile the Man."
In Romans 1:29-32 we read of "other Sins" that condemn men before God -- "Being filled with all Unrighteousness, Fornication, Wickedness, Covetousness, Maliciousness, Envy, Murder, Debate, Deceit, Malignity, Whispers, Backbiting, Hating God, Despitefulness, Pride, Boasting, beingInventors of evil things, Disobedience to parents, being without understanding, breaking the Covenant, Without natural affection, Implacable, Unmerciful -- Who knowing the Judgment of God, they which commit such things are worthy of Death, not only do the same, but have Pleasure in them that do them."
Apostle Paul, in Galatians 5:19-21, gives "another Catalog of Sins" that will damn the Soul, "Now the Works of the Flesh are manifest, which are these: Adultery, Fornication, Uncleanness, Lasciviousness, Idolatry, Witchcraft, Hatred, Variance, Emulations, Wrath, Strife, Seditions, Heresies, Envyings, Murders, Drunkenness, Revellings, and such like...they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God."
All these Scriptures prove beyond doubt that God condemns all men as Sinners, for all men outside of Jesus Christ commit in varying degrees some of these sins. If any man has committed one of these sins at any time in his or her life, he has incurred the "Death Penalty," and must accept Jesus Christ as a personal Savior or be Eternally condemned and lost, according to Scripture. "The soul that sins, it shall die" and "they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God" (Ezekiel 18:4; Galatians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
Have a bless day!

Because one day they will inherit the earth and right now there isn't equality in the truest sense. Some choose to live that way.

the bible says:
blest are the poor for they shall inherit the kingdom of god
and thus i tell you it is much easier for a camel to enter the hole of a needle than for a rich man to enter the heaven...
it is not them who sin but the people who ignore them...
