Always see your doctor for diagnosis and treatment especially since you are diabetic. He/she can help you discover the cause of your sores and prescribe antibiotics to help heal them.
Staph bacteria commonly live on the skin. Boils...which are just large pimples....are usually caused by staph infections. To help rid your body of staph or other bacteria that may be hanging out and causing your sores, use an antibacterial soap such as Dial to wash with daily. Hot sitz baths can help with the pain of the sores. Try to avoid picking the sores as this will only spread the infection to other skin pores and cause more breakouts. When one of the sores opens and drains be sure to wash the area and your hands thoroughly with the antibacterial soap and apply an antibacterial ointment or cream like neosporin. Being diabetic increases your susceptibility to boils because you may have a suppressed immunity and decreased circulation. I hope this helps and that you soon find relief. God Bless!

The key is the fact you have Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. I'm not a doctor so I strongly recommend that you see your endocrinologist as soon as possible. Because of the diabetes, you'll have more difficulty in clearing and treating infections. You are more prone to gangrene and cellulitis. See the doctor before these lesions become septic. Good luck. P.S. Is your blood sugar in good control?

Keep the area clean and have your doctor take a look at it to tell you what it is.

Sounds like boils - if they are, you are 'run down' and require medication and treatment.........
