My cat yells at me all the time and calls me bad names. It's really hurting my self-esteem, and when I ask him to stop, he kicks me.

YOu really need to sit your cat downa nd have a heart to heart. Explain to your cat that it hurts your feelings and that behavior will not be tolerated. After all you are the food keeper. And that moving forward such behavior will not only not be tolerated but will come with consequenses. Also make sure you take your medication this week.
