We should tolerate the Christians, because we should tolerate EVERYONE. The Christians did not kill the Native Americans I am both Native American and a Christian, and my grandmother (NOT great grandmother) is a full blooded Native American who came to the USA from Canada, as far back as we can find our family has been Christian. Someone is giving false info to the pagans to rile them up. I have seen this a hundred times in chatting with others, and researching the pagan belief online. I am sorry you (seem) angry.
Also, the Christians are not the Roman empire who killed the people at the stakes. The Roman empire was against the Christians. They were not the Christians.
However we really need to accept all people, everyone on earth is loved by their maker, and accepted. We have a very diversified world here on earth and that will never change. I am only interested in the Pagan religion for the fact that I need to know the reasons I find so many of you to be angry and hurt. No one should feel they are targeted for any reason.

First it wasn't just the Christians that killed Native Americans. There are different denominations of Christians that came to the US and not all of them were into conquering. The killing and taking the land from the Native Americans was based more on economics than Christianity. People do a lot of things in the name of religion which is just an excuse to justify their own means. That does not make all Christians intolerant.

Besides the Christian religion did assimilate a lot of Pagan traditions and ideology into their doctrine, especially the Catholic religion.

There a both Christians and non-Christians that are intolerant. Don't generalize about one group. This makes you just as guilty of bigotry and intolerance.

So all pagans are easygoing, not true. Attempted to squash your culture, its pretty much gone if your native american. Since my dad is Shoshoni I know that for a fact, its a pain in the rear end just to trace anything back further than the turn of the 20th century. Name one advanced society that has found one not as advanced and not destroyed it totally. Go sit around the tree in the great circle and smoke the pipe.

Because according to most Pagan faiths all living things are equal and necessary, this includes Christians. Thus, we must tolerate them and be polite. It doesn't mean that we have to tolerate their rudeness, however. That is a different matter altogether. We can respect them without putting up with disrespect. Don't assume that all Christians act like the ones who annoy you, however, because they don't. Just like not all Pagans are as arrogant and high handed as myself.

We must defend ourselves against individuals, not against groups. If we generalize to the whole group, we create battles where there are none. There are good, kind and tolerant Christians out there, but if you decide that all are bad, you will miss out on knowing the kindness (and oftentimes defense) of the good ones.

I don't think any Christians today are killing the Native Americans... the culture is coming back... Why are you blaming people today for something that happened before their birth? All you are doing is inviting them to blame Pagans for all the Human Sacrifices, etc they did.... and the idea that all Pagans are easygoing... yeah right... These generalizations are really getting old from both sides.

Tolerating Christians is appropriate. Tolerating Christians trying to establish a theocracy is NOT appropriate. Our nation is founded on the principle of freedom, including freedom of religion (and freedom FROM religion). Christians are free to hold their beliefs, including the ones which lack tolerance. Their right to believe that you are wrong is constitutionally protected. However, they are not allowed to make laws that say they are right and you are wrong, which continues to happen even though the Constitution forbids it. This theocratic activism MUST be stopped, and it must start with a new mentality in the Oval Office. We need another theocratic president like we need another terrorist attack on our mainland. Hopefully, people that respect the Constitution will return to power...but we're going to have to work to make that happen.

The second answerer is very funny

"don't like it ? Move"

Hahaha the arrogance of it. Pagans were here first, why doesn't she move and get out of our faces ?

I used to be tolerant of christians, but now I hate them and their superstitious nonsense with a passion. I am so sick of being bashed by them. Yes I ignored them for a while but this equates to "turning the other cheek" which is a xian thing, so I opted out of that mindset and now attack them wherever the need arises.
NO respect for the theiving murderous club should be shown.

You're speaking of a people group that most present-day Christians have no personal association with. How can you speak badly of my faith, as a Christian, when I had nothing to do with what other "Christians" have done in the past? I have tolerance for all people, so I find your question quite stereotypical.

how old are you ? did you meet the christians on the boat when they arived? then shut that silly mouth. soon you will not have to tolerate them. nor they with you . do you think in life you are a blessing to them? that you are worthy ? many people think crazy crap out there. not all who claim to be are truly christian. They are a lie to them selves ( one of the worse thing there is). Willing to live with sin is not easy going.

Because if you sink to their level you become as bad as they do instead of following your heart and what you have learned. If you want to feel better just think of all those who leave their teachings in favor of the old ways.
