go to a professional, and I'm sorry to say you need to be charged at least $70. I've dyed my hair at different salons and at home and if they were below $70 the dye jobs at the salon we're crap. If you feel like you want to do it, get a friend who hair looks great and does her own coloring to help. Sally's Beauty Supply is the best store because you can get all the products there. I take it you have waited a week, pick up Ion Repair Solutions Effective Care Intensive Therapy Treatment (it ranges from 1oz to 16 oz), a deep moisturizing treatment and shampoo for damaged hair. Next to help keep your hair from becoming brassy(don't dye your hair for another two weeks) grab Ardell Red Gold Corrector Plus (the big size, not the trial size) and put some in your shampoo. When you decided to dye your hair next time put some in your hair dye. I'm a natural auburn and I'm right now light brown so this helps it from turning red. Next time you want to go blond, Revlon has a high lightening kit for dark hair or go to a professional. And since its summer, try to stay out of chlorine and where a hat to prevent sun damage.
Similar situation happened to me two days before the governor's ball and the treatments really helped but I still had to come up with an interesting way to put my hair up.

you can dye it back dark brown but you need to get a colour that has red in it like a chestnut brown the reason for it is if you put a brown straight over it will go green so you need the red to stop this from happening the red will wash out over a few washes but you will need to do the colour again in a week or so again with the red in it , this is what happens when you start messing with home dyes what thay say on the box is not what you get in them or go to a salon and get it done there it will be worth the money . please dont try box colours again there a night mare .

I'm sorry to have to break it to you, but you're probably going to have to wait about 6 weeks before you can do anything else to your hair. If you do anything sooner you're going to run the risk of completely frying your hair. Unfortunately, that's one of the drawbacks of trying to save money and do your hair yourself. I've done it more times than I can count (I can't seem to learn my lesson) and always wind up spending more on it by fixing it then I would have had I done it the right way to begin with.
You may be able to find a hairdresser who will be willing to put a toner in your hair, but it won't last very long. I really would wait though. Try buying some salon formula deep conditioning treatment too. Schwartzkoff has a great one that smells really good. It worked on me pretty well with my last disaster.
Good luck.

You need to go have it professionally done. Remember: It is always cheaper to get it one right the first time, instead of paying 3x's the amount when you have to go get it fixed. It is always better to let a professional work with color. The in home kits never turn out how they are supposed to and by the time you buy 4 or 5 you might as well have gone to the salon anyway!

Hi i have done this loads of times it has only worked the once with jerome russel and since i tried to to it again and again the cap has been crap and ive endend up with all shades of orange. and it never works propley, but i always have to end up dying my hair back to brown. It is safe to go back to brown but i would recommend using a medium to dark brown as the result will be lighter anyway coz of the bleach dont use anything lighter unless you know that it already turns out darker because anything lighter will not cover, i usually use a semi permenant like movida in brown, colour spa and clarol are good to as most of there colours are darker than they look anyway. I would recommend using semi permenant as it wont damage your hair as much and will last just as long, coz perments tend to stay on healthy areas on your hair and wash off on the unhealthy bits so they wash out so quick. In future i think you and i should leave it up to the hair dressers to do our hair or should we just stick to being brown hope this helps

all that bleach is not good for your hair. you can dye it back but you need to be very careful. really a hairdresser whould know exactly what colour to put on to make it nearer your own colour. If you use a home kit your hair could turn out a completely different colour as generally they are made to put on brown hair, not bleach blonde. you could try a 24 wash colour, that way the blonde bits will be coloured for a couple of months while your roots grow long enough to have it cut out.

You have to wait for it to grow back, i'm afraid- I've dyed my dark hair but it's just gone ginger before - then when trying to recover the dark hair - it went copper - not a nice look on a dark -skinned man.
accept that you've got bad hair for a month - people will forget it - it really doesn't matter in the long run

PLZ listen to me i know everything u need to know about dying ur hair at home!Go to ur local drugstore or pharmcy.(or walmart) go to the hair dye section and only buy herbal essences OR garnier fructis.trust me i know all about this stuff no matter what other pople will tell u. i may be young but i know it all and i have been throught it all. ok as i was saying pick out the color u want in those brands ONLY, fallow the drections exslaty. if u r dying ur hair to a darker color like brown get a slightly lighter than what u want because ur hair is so light it will turn out just fine. listen to me it will all work out i promis.

If you try to do it at home it will turn green, when coloring your hair home kits don't work unless you know exactly what you are doing or your just touching up your roots, I suggest you go to a GOOD salon where they know what they are doing and ask them to fix it and in the future don't play beauty parlor at home

I think if you want to dye it back to dark again you should let the hairdresser do it. It may cost more than doing it yourself but at least your hair wont go green if done professionally.
