I guess the only thing you can do it scan the pictures with a scanner.

Get yourself a scanner. That's the way to get all of your old photos digitized, and will be useful for uploading other stuff too like scanning old recipes, articles from magazines to email to friends, etc. The scanner is the best thing I've attached to my computer other than a printer, because it's so useful for so many things besides photos.

The next best way is to get a CD made when you get your pictures processed. Most photo processors like Walgreens and Wal Mart will dot this for you, just check off the box when you fill out the envelope.

Think about budgeting for a digital camera in the next year or two. Film is rapidly disappearing from the consumer market, and will probably be gone in 5 years or so.

I am assuming you have either pictures on regular film that you have not developed yet or you have already--developed photos. Either way, you have to get them digitized -- bottom line. If you have undeveloped film, take it to any good film developer and they can digitize the pictures for you - tell them what kind of media you need it on (i.e. make sure that you can take what they give you and transfer it to your computer through a CD reader, memory stick, etc - whatever you have on YOUR computer).

If you have already-developed photos, you will have to scan them. The scanner will obviously digitize them. If you don't want to do this, you can get someone with a digital camera to "take pictures of your pictures" but the results will be less than desirable most likely. Lastly, you can take them to a photo service that will digitize them for you.

So, once you have them digitized and transfer to your computer - you're all set!

You can scan pictures that you have developed from a regular camera onto your computer if you own a scanner. If not, digital is the only way to go.

????!!!!!!! Upload pictures from where?! If you don't have a digi cam, you can take photos with a normal camera & then after developing them, use a scanner to scan them to your PC; No any other ways... .

If you get your pics developed at WalMart they can put them on a disk, wich you can upload to your computer. Or obviously you could scan a picture.

Any film developer worth their salt will be able to digitize photos from prints and negatives. They should also be able to store them onto a CD or DVD for you.

Get them put on a CD when you get them developed. Thats the easiest, cheapest way to do it!

A "GOOD" Scanner will be your best bet. Buy a good one that is high resolution.
